I found Christian Science in college and immediately knew I had found the Truth. The first thing I did was read Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and I was amazed to find articulated what I’d always felt must be true. My childhood had included much darkness in it, but this book was piercing the heaviness with a light for which I had always searched.

Soon after beginning to study Science and Health, I knew I had to help humanity find the Truth that was freeing me. I joined The Mother Church and took Primary class instruction to learn more about how to heal others. I then went to work at The Mother Church and served over 13 years in various roles, including as a Senior Writer and Project Manager.

One of the things I read in college in addition to Science and Health was a book of reminiscences about Mary Baker Eddy. Mrs. Eddy’s sacrifice and obedience to God affected me profoundly, as well as her conviction that those who read and applied the Science she had discovered would and could heal others. After leaving work at The Mother Church I went into the public practice of Christian Science. The joy I find in devoting myself to helping others find freedom from sickness and sin is indescribable. Jesus’ promised Comforter has come, and today as a teacher it is my great privilege to equip others to go forward and heal as well.
