I was born into a Christian family that I left at the age of 10. It wasn’t until years later that I began to believe there really is a superior being, God, who created the universe. I bought my first Bible and began to read it without guidance. I discovered Christian Science on shortwave radio one night in 1988. The spiritual ideas and the testimonies of healing in that program fascinated me to the point where I woke up my younger brother who was sleeping, because we both desired to pray and find a church. We remained assiduous listeners for almost a year before finding an informal Christian Science group in our country in 1989. Their Sunday services and Wednesday testimony meetings were just what I was looking for, and I joined this informal group as a member. In 1991, I became a member of The Mother Church, which was also when our group became an official Christian Science Society. My love for God and the Church has allowed me to serve my community in many capacities. I was led to take the Primary class in Christian Science in 2010. Having witnessed several healings, in 2013 I became a registered practitioner in the Christian Science periodicals to help others. Experience in practice and the desire to learn and help others understand Christian Science led me to take the Normal class in 2024.
