I live in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, with my wife, two daughters, a son, and nine grandchildren.

I ran across Christian Science at college at a time when I was starting to doubt the usefulness of religion in life, after having attended a Christian denomination since childhood. An article I read in a Christian Science magazine was very meaningful to me, and led me to the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Finding the textbook was, for me, the discovery of the “pearl of great price”. It shed light on the Gospels and changed my perspective on life. I immediately started attending Christian Science religious services. I became very much involved in my branch church’s activities, and I soon learned of the many ways to serve the Cause of Christian Science. In 1986, I joined The Mother Church in Boston, and in 1989, took Primary class in Christian Science. I soon started to answer calls for spiritual healing on a part time basis, but it was not until 2017 when I retired from my job with the United Nations that I answered the call to practice Christian Science healing on a full-time basis. I was Journal-listed in 2018. In 2022, I was elected to the Board of Lectureship. Then, the call to serve the Cause as a teacher came clearly to my mind, and I applied for Normal class in 2024.
