I grew up in a family in which Christian Science was at the heart. I deeply value the security I have always felt from knowing that God is our Father-Mother Love, an ever-present help, and that in any situation we can find the inspiration and spiritual understanding that we need in the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

I distinctly remember the first healing I had as a result of my own prayers, around age six, when I prayed as I had been taught in Sunday School. After graduating from university, I took Primary class instruction and started teaching Sunday School myself. I love the fact that Christian Science gives us a full understanding of God’s infinitely good nature and of our relationship with Him as His perfect likeness, so that we can demonstrate this eternal spiritual reality in our present human experience, “as in heaven, so on earth” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health, p. 17).

When you love Christian Science, you cannot keep it to yourself, and so in 2006 I became a Journal-listed practitioner. I became a teacher of Christian Science in 2015 and served on the Christian Science Board of Lectureship between 2012 and 2021. It is a joy and privilege to serve as President of The Mother Church this year.
