Lynn Gray Jackson CSB

From an early age, I witnessed the undeniable power of Christian Science healing. One of my first experiences—instantaneously healing a close family friend of smoking—awakened in me a deep desire to help others through the practice of spiritual healing.

Mary Metzner Trammell CSB

Being raised in a home where both my parents were Christian Science practitioners, and my father a teacher, was an incredible privilege. Spiritual healing was such a natural, joyful daily occurrence that I somehow always knew I wanted to be a Christian Science practitioner myself. After growing up in Louisville, Kentucky, and Boston, I went to Smith College. My husband, Talbot, and I married soon after graduation, and raised our two children in Miami, where he practiced law. A Baptist when we met, he discovered Christian Science was what he’d always believed in—and joined The Mother Church and the branch church where I belonged.

As a little girl I learned that God is Love. During my occasional sleepless nights, my mom would encourage me to "catch some angels." My love for the teachings of Christian Science started at a young age, with Christian Science grandparents and parents who showed me that expressing good, or God, was my purpose. They also taught me to pray to God for healing.

Philippe Kouakira-Miere CSB

I was born into a Christian family that I left at the age of 10. It wasn’t until years later that I began to believe there really is a superior being, God, who created the universe.

Mark Swinney CSB

I’ve always been struck by how Christian Science class instruction effectively rouses in people a deep hunger to understand how Christian healing works and how to bring healing to others. The practice of Christian Science healing is tangible evidence that the Comforter Jesus promised has indeed come again.

My deep love for Christian Science healing began as a young teenager. My mother and grandmother were healed of chronic ailments, and I was permanently healed of migraine headaches by reading Mary Baker Eddy’s textbook,  Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

Alison J. Hughes, CS

Growing up going to the Christian Science Sunday School, surrounded by a family actively living the teachings of Christian Science, Alison and her siblings had quick healings of the usual childhood scrapes and illnesses. Her grandmother was a Christian Science practitioner for many years and so from a young age she felt that studying the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, brought practical transformative results. She found getting to know God better and her relationship with the Divine naturally resulted in praying for and with others. She started receiving requests to pray for others while she was still leading her professional career, first in property (real estate) and then university-based adult education.
