Search: science and health with key to the scriptures

I live in the country in Salem, Oregon, where I teach my classes in a tree house environment. I think of my students as an extension of our large diverse family.

I am married and the father of 4 children. Although originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, I have been living with my family in Brussels, Belgium, in recent years.

I am from Veracruz, Mexico. From girlhood, I wanted to know more about God and who I was--it was really a search for spirituality.  I wished I had been born in Jesus’ time so I could experience primitive Christianity and its healing power for my family and myself.

I graduated from college as a teacher of commercial science and worked for the post office, for public schools as teacher, and for my own business. Before discovering Christian Science, I was healed of several diseases, and I healed other people at my former church through faith and prayer.

Various U.S. federal, state, and private health insurance plans provide for the reimbursement of Christian Science nursing care and practitioner treatment. The U.S. Federal Office has been working to increase the availability of insurance options that cover these types of care.

I grew up in a family in which Christian Science was at the heart. I deeply value the security I have always felt from knowing that God is our Father-Mother Love, an ever-present help, and that in any situation we can find the inspiration and spiritual understanding that we need in the Bible and  Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

I attended a commercial secondary school (1961-1968) and studied economics at a university (1969-1973). After this education, I taught mathematics for two years before being employed by a well-respected American commercial bank in Kinshasa for fourteen years.

Concern for public health and safety is something that all responsible people share—including Christian Scientists.

Awful poverty in a polygamous family--these words describe well the condition in which I first became aware of my existence in the remote countryside of South-Eastern Togo, West Africa, where I was born. Traditional animism, worship of and belief in many spirits, nurtured my heathen early education.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a student of Christian Science.   As a young kid I enjoyed listening to Bible stories in Sunday School.
