Summer Internship International Church Activities Support

Gain experience supporting church and Christian Science youth communities worldwide. 

Gain an inside look at how the Church Activities Department supports international Branch church activities, including Reading Room, Sunday School, prison ministry, Informal Groups, youth Christian Science Organizations, events, and communities. Our department is a team that supports these activities both practically and metaphysically. 

During the internship, you will actively contribute to the planning of Christian Science events and have the opportunity to support Christian Science Organizations (CSOs).

Opportunities:

  • Learn how we support worldwide branch church activities, including Sunday School, Reading Rooms, Readers, and more.

  • Develop proficiency in intercultural collaboration and partnership building through communications with members of branch churches, CSOs, and Informal Groups worldwide.

  • Gain experience in event planning and related logistics while supporting our upcoming events and meetings with Branches, Informal Groups, and youth worldwide.

  • Share what you learn from the field with other departments at The Mother Church and collaborate with them to develop events, services, or products that support branches, CSOs, and their communities.

  • Connect with and support other Christian Scientists at universities.

 Desired Qualifications & Qualities:

  • Current membership in a CSO and/or branch church preferred

  • Desire to support the Christian Science movement and strengthen church

  • An attitude of service; ready to prayerfully approach challenges

  • Fluency in a language other than English preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team; readiness to support team members in a professional setting

  • Desire to learn new skills

  • Adaptable to changing circumstances and developments

Program Dates: May 19 - August 1, 2025

Compensation: Interns receive a $400/week living stipend. They will also receive a $900 grant upon completion of the internship. These payments are taxable benefits.
