Publishing and Communications Internship for The Office of the Publisher’s Agent

Do you love studying the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy? Would you like to contribute to making Mary Baker Eddy’s books available around the world in print and digital formats in English and other languages? If so, an internship in the Office of the Publisher’s Agent’s could be a great fit!

The Office of the Publisher’s Agent (OPA) publishes and distributes the King James Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s published books in seventeen languages. This office also procures and distributes authorized non-English Bibles. This internship will introduce you to all aspects of OPA’s work including creating print books, improving the Concord program, and supporting translation efforts related to Mary Baker Eddy’s writings.

Opportunities include:

  • Metaphysically support OPA’s work publishing the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s writings, including Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures

  • Collaborate with digital, translations, and print production managers, learning about all aspects of publishing

  • Contribute to making and reviewing customer-facing content (articles and videos) on the Concord Help Center, in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish

  • Identify ways to make Mary Baker Eddy’s writings more accessible throughout the world

  • Be exposed to, and help with, all aspects of running a department within the larger organization

  • Learn about the Scrum framework for project management; participate in both active and leadership roles on team projects

  • Join a talented team that brings a deep love of Christian Science and strong remote and in-person collaboration skills to every activity

Desired qualifications:

  • Committed to the study and practice of Christian Science with a deep desire to share its healing message through the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s writings

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to stay organized working on a variety of tasks

  • A thoughtful and supportive team member with demonstrated ability to make meaningful contributions to both remote and in-person teams

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Diverse cultural and/or linguistic experience or interest in the same a plus

Program Dates: May 19 - August 1, 2025

Compensation: Interns receive a $400/week living stipend. They will also receive a $900 grant upon completion of the internship. These payments are taxable benefits.
