If so, we’d love to have you join the Office of the CIO in the IT Operations group this summer! It is a 9-person team focused on managing and supporting the computer technology in use in the organization. Roles on the team include the Service Desk, Business Relationship Management, and Asset Management.
The team ensures that computer technology works properly and is a useful tool rather than a hindrance or source of frustration. TMC uses various software and hardware, including Macs and PCs, Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc.), Slack, Adobe products, Atlassian products, Microsoft Office, Zoom web conferencing, and more.
Opportunities:
Discover and collaborate with IT and non-IT departments on how technology can be used to increase productivity
Learn business processes and how they utilize available technologies (software, hardware)
Build strong, positive customer relationships through active listening, ensuring timely resolution or escalation of issues, communicating promptly on progress, and maintaining a professional attitude
Use our ticket management system to track the progress of requests and see your own progress as you learn to handle more and more types of issues each week
Participate in projects such as mass upgrades of operating systems or software packages
Use computer management tools to deploy software to many computers at once
Demonstrate good stewardship of church resources by maintaining accurate records of computers and software, as well as periodically auditing software licenses
Use presentation skills to educate non-technical employees about technology tools and policies in an open meeting

Qualifications:
Enjoy and have an affinity for working with computer technology
Enjoy listening and asking pertinent questions for a better understanding
Enjoy working as part of a team and jumping in as needed to resolve customer issues
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Interest in seeing how technology serves the mission of The Mother Church
