Jennifer Q McLaughlin CSB

During college, a significant healing established me on a path to not only better know and understand God, but also to understand why that mattered . After being ill in bed for a week, I was healed overnight after a Christian Science practitioner (whom I’d asked to pray for me) spoke to me about the First Commandment in a way that challenged and revitalized my thinking.

Christian Scientists and respect for the rights of others

Like people of many faiths, Christian Scientists take the Golden Rule as basic ethics. It guides our relations with society, and while we can’t claim to have been always perfect in this regard, we feel strongly about respecting the rights of our neighbors and fellow citizens, and not imposing our own religious choices on others. Love for family, neighbor, community and the world is at the core of our values just as in most other churches.

Elizabeth Crecelius Schwartz CSB

While growing up in California, my three siblings and I had many challenges but also many blessings. Our parents were dedicated church and community supporters and instilled in us the idea of living one's life in a way that would help the world.

Judith M Weisz CSB

My parents were Christian Scientists, and I had the great benefit of Sunday School teaching, and learning that God is always present to meet the need—always our “first aid.” When I married and had children, they were bought up in the same way, with my husband’s agreement, and I saw what a boon it was to be able to turn to God as the only Father/Mother. When I joined a branch church, I was asked to work in various positions and realised that if I were to be of help to the Church, I needed to progress in Christian Science, so I took class Instruction and was then appointed First Reader. To my surprise, people came to me for healing treatment. This impelled me to advertise as a full-time Journal -listed practitioner.

Richard Hunt Evans CSB

Raised in Maryland, Ohio, and Michigan, I graduated from public school and attended Principia College, earning a BA in English.  I had a foundational healing of malaria while serving in the US Peace Corps in Palawan, Philippines, following graduation.  On return, I earned my law degree from Washington University.  The majority of my law and business career was with AT&T.  I was transitioned into various general management positions, many with international responsibilities, including President of the Asia/Pacific region, based in Hong Kong.  All of these experiences confirmed for me the universality of divine Love.  After completing my corporate career, I entered into the full-time practice of Christian Science and, in order to share this healing truth with others, became a teacher of Christian Science in December 2009. My church work began in my school years, joining a branch and The Mother Church. In college, in Kansas City, and in Scottsdale, I was given the opportunity to serve as First Reader. To my great benefit and learning, I am not aware of a church assignment I have not experienced in one or more of the branches where I have been a member.

Ruth Geyer CSB

I came into Christian Science as an adult and found it to be just what I’d been searching for -- Mrs. Eddy’s writings described so perfectly something I’d always known deep inside.

Rosalind Childs Fogg CSB

While working in television in New York City, after college and studying/traveling in Europe and Africa, I was awakened to a keen desire to really know myself spiritually and to be more a part of Church’s healing mission. Primary class instruction transformed my life. Working for The Mother Church, in Boston, enhanced my appreciation of Church. Communing with God led me to obediently and faithfully begin publicly practicing Christian Science, and I have been gratefully healing others for over 35 years. My prayers led me to St.
