What to expect

Gwen Eagleton, Co-Soloist of The Mother Church

Rebecca Minor, Co-Soloist of The Mother Church

Bryan Ashley, Organist of The Mother Church

No matter where you go, you’ll find a friendly greeting, music, singing, scriptural readings, prayer, and a sermon. The sermon is based on a weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson from our pastor, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Typically, the Sunday service lasts an hour, and Sunday School classes are held at the same time.

New Co-Soloist of The Mother Church

William Burden, who has served the last two years as co-Soloist of The Mother Church, has asked to leave the position. He shares, “A very busy performance schedule, and the desire to spend more time at home with family necessitates my stepping back from my current soloing duties, though I leave now with renewed love for all the good Christian Science imparts. Thanks. I will never be able to express my gratitude for the opportunity to share in the services at The Mother Church and I look forward with joy for opportunities to return in the future.”

The new co-Soloist of The Mother Church is Gwen Eagleton. Gwen grew up in St. Louis and Chicago, received her B.A. from Stanford University in California, and currently resides in New Jersey. She is a member of The Mother Church and a class-taught student of Christian Science. Gwen will share the position of co-Soloist with Rebecca Minor who has been in this position the last two years.

Please click on Gwen's photo to read her complete bio.

Bios are available to introduce you to the First Reader, who runs the service, as well as the Second Reader, soloist, organist, and other key participants.
