Since his high school days, Andre has been passionate about reading. Christian Science came his way while in college through a pamphlet that he found on a college classmate’s table entitled Questions and Answers, published by the Christian Science Publishing Society. He found the questions therein very relevant and the related answers very deep. This led him to attend his first Sunday service at the closest branch Church of Christ, Scientist.

Impressed by the sermon, he left the service he attended with a strong desire to learn more about the teachings of Christian Science. Straightaway, he began studying the Bible along with the textbook of Christian Science, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. He began practicing, to the best of his ability, the teachings of Christian Science, which deepened his faith in the Bible’s promises of hope, health, and freedom for all mankind.

Andre's interest in Christian Science grew throughout his academic life and his former professional experiences, which included serving in his country’s educational system, then in an international hotel, and finally, in a telecommunication company. He learnt that the “practice of healing” is the real profession of a Christian Scientist, whatever one’s present occupation might be. In 2015, he resigned from his last job in order to dedicate himself full time to helping people seeking prayer based solutions as practiced by Christ Jesus and taught in Christian Science.  In 2018, he became an authorized teacher of Christian Science.

Appointed as a lecturer, he delights at the opportunities to share the practical teachings of Christian Science on a larger scale.

Experiencing God’s Supply

It may seem that some don’t have what they need, while others thrive. By seeking a better understanding of God as the infinite, impartial Father and Mother of all, we can see ourselves and others as God's beloved and valued children. This Bible-based thinking allows us to find more of God’s goodness in our lives, use our supply responsibly and challenge anything unlike God. This shift in thought can bring healing.

Turning to God—a Christian Science perspective

God has our best interests in mind. It’s natural to turn to God for guidance immediately when a problem arises and find answers– just as Jesus did and taught others to do.

Lecturer Andre Kisonga says, “Christian Science shows us how to understand Jesus’ life, works and teachings. It explains the Science of Christ: how we follow Jesus’ example in order to experience the power of God in our lives.” Through Christian Science, anyone can understand the Bible and prove God’s care for themselves and others, and get a better understanding of the true nature of God, of man and reality.
