Christian Science changes lives for the better in many ways, just one of which is physical healing. In December 2007, after suffering with a severe case of influenza, I was diagnosed with advanced emphysema, heart damage, and high blood pressure.
As a student of Christian Science I’ve experienced many healings through reliance on God and spiritual means alone. One evening, as I was getting ready to do a framing project, I again felt God’s immediate care—confirming that whatever I faced, divine Love would always be at my side.
Ever since I was a teenager I had suffered from “cluster headaches” and for many years sought a cure for it. The best doctors, the finest headache clinics, the strongest medications, had all failed to provide me with relief. So had other “alternative” cures.

At the time, I was a newlywed and suffered from many ills for which I sought medical treatment.

When the doctor told me that I had the beginnings of osteoarthritis, I felt very anguished, thinking that I wouldn’t be able to walk or work anymore.
I’m so grateful for the good I’ve received in Christian Science. When I was introduced to Christian Science, I’d been suffering for many years from various conditions, including hemorrhoids and boils on my skin that were increasing day after day.
As a child I attended a Christian Science Sunday School, and I have continued to adhere to its teachings ever since. In 1959 I became a listed practitioner in The Christian Science Journal , and I practice this Science every day.
Before becoming a student of Christian Science, I suffered from pneumonia and respiratory problems. I sought medical means for a cure, and it took several months to find relief.
When I became pregnant with our second child, my husband and I were excited. However, a few weeks into the pregnancy, it appeared I might have a miscarriage.
Last summer I was dedicated to supporting my wife through some physical challenges. This involved my getting things she needed, taking her to medical appointments, and generally supporting her in any way I could.
