  1. Thanks Jon. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning!

  2. Thank you Jon- this really "hit the spot" today! Lorna

  3. OOOOOh "live for one moment as the place where divinity does the work"....I cherish this inspired and inspiring healing thought!! my quest shall never cease!! Thank you!!

  4. I LOVE this Lift!!!!

  5. I saw myself abandoned by luck, disappointed by life, empty, believing that we depend on others, until CS showed me that Truth is radical and God is “unchanging wisdom and Love.” S&H 2:10

I learned that each one of God’s promises applied to me and to every one of His children, whenever we accept our heredity as Genesis 1:26, 27 puts it:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness… So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

…and my outlook changed “…thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Psalm 23:5

Salmo 23:5

  6. Many thanks Jon for reminding us that "Divinity does the work." "Mark the wonders of His [Love's] hand:/ Power no empire can withstand;/ Wisdom, angels' glorious theme;/ Goodness one eternal stream." (Christian Science Hymnal #72).

  7. Wonderfully awesome lift. THANKS!!!!!

  8. Good questions....good answers!!
    Thank you Jon

  9. Carol, Switzerland
Dear Jon, thank you very much for this beautiful and helpful message.

  10. Thank you Jon and thank you Elena (5) for reminding us of our spiritual heritage. Throughout the ages many people have felt abandoned, but what a relief to discover through the study of Christian Science that we are never alone, and that GOD our real Father is always with us, guiding us into newness of life. This is indeed "The pearl of great price" that NO amount of money could ever buy! LOVE to ALL.

  11. Thank you for this great reminder that GOD does the work we need just to listen and then follow His directions. Many thanks to all.

  12. Thank you for this substantial Lift. It is tremendously helpful. There is nothing more radical or revolutionary to world thought than the teaching in Christian Science that infinite good, God and His idea, alone are real. It does indeed 'overturn' human thought and require that all understanding begin with divine Mind and exclude matter. It uproots every condemnatory thought and establishes Love's standard of perfection. It frees us from the belief that we have to till the barren soil of mortal thought and reveals us as conscious only of the fruitful works of God,

  13. God Consciousness does the work ,we merely and meekly rest in the word and watch the miraculous outpouring in our lives. Thank you Jon for affirming this in you morning message.

  14. Hi Jon,

"Spirit's eternal understanding", so there is no misunderstanding. Thanks for this clear sightedness, that Jesus radically stood for.

  15. Really powerful reminder to be with God today and see the good unfold. Thank you

  16. And this is a pretty radically meek Daily Lift, Jon, which will no doubt "unleash an untold power for good." Certainly it would appear easy, within reach of everyone. But on-the-spot moment of opportunity to be born again sometimes takes a big leap in the opposite direction fro the one we are determined on. The wonderful part is, we always get another opportunity!
Many thanks Nate and the team: and the Lifters from all over who love to assist so generously. Really great Comment, Elena. . .

  17. Thanks for the message.
    I also liked the music.

  18. Thank you, Jon, for “Meekly radical? Radically meek? Jesus personified just this … divinity does the work and is the righteousness … watch the good flow.”

“Man is tributary to God, Spirit, and to nothing else” (S&H 481). This answered my prayer for a more spiritually healthy balance between being meek and radical, years ago when CS friends and I had been discussing and challenging the difference between a false sense of humility and genuine meekness. As you say, it’s not about making decisions based on “personal ego;” but instead qualities of Godlike character being developed and employed through unceasing prayer and unwavering obedience to “Our Father.”

This week’s Bible Lesson is “Ancient and Modern Necromancy, alias Mesmerism and Hypnotism, Denounced.” I asked myself what this really means to me right now. I had over the years researched each of these words for practical definitions and deeper understanding. This week, my annotation next to that title reads something like: “Any thought, word, or behavior coming to me that is not Godlike, whether from human history or current worldview, must be challenged and discarded by the Truth of being.”

“The Science of Mind must come to the rescue, to work a radical cure ... Evil has no power, no intelligence, for God is good, and therefore good is infinite, is All” (S&H 398).

“… through God … (pull) down … strong holds … and (bring) into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (II Cor 10:4,5).

    WWJD? Just that! :-)

  19. Thank you Jon and all the commentators for this powerful DL. To be born again, that is indeed radical. To be meek in the face of all the the horrible things mortal mind presents each day in the newspapers, that is also very radical for me. But why should I react to error? Instead, I can meekly love each and every one of God´s idea. How soothing it is to remember that we of ourselves can do nothing and "live for one moment as the place where divinity does the work"... Just wonderful!

  20. Thanks! Such good reminders.

  21. Meekness is such a lovely little place of power - because the power is God's - all power & it is LOVE

  22. "...what doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" (Micah 6:8) This may not appear to be much except when you put it into practice. But it certainly pays off. As the 3rd verse of hymn 350 puts it: "While His truth we are applying, And upon His love relying, God is every need supplying, All, all is well." This may seem radical to rely on God to meet our every need, but it certainly is reliable! Thanks Jon for a very inspiring start to our week!!

  23. GREAT LIFT TODAY! Thanks for lesson in humility to the Christ. Love it!

  24. Reading what other Christian Science students before me have written about this message, I know that my comment will not be original... but I will add it anyway! Thank you for these clear thoughts which you shared today, they straightened my own thought with your carefully selected wording for this daily lift.

  25. I absolutely love this Lift!

It has all the dimension and perspective one needs - the complete recipe for a healthy and profoundly productive life. Thank you, this is so thoughtfully presented.

  26. Gorgeous Music! Keep it coming! Loved it, Jon! I could feel your radical meekness in this Lift! I think it was Paul in the Bible who said......to paraphrase....."...for when I am weak, then am I strong." He could just as well have said "meek" instead of "weak"! Surrendering to a Power Greater than Ourselves - which we call God - allows us to be empowered by God and this is True Power, resulting from radical meekness. Being willing to ask God to help us get ourselves out of the way is Our Job. Once we've done that God's Goodness and Power naturally flow! When I am willing to place God's will above my own, my hopes and desires have a chance of becoming a wonderful reality! God is All and we can bow low enough to experience His/Her constant Goodness!

  27. A powerful Lift for this Memorial Day, Jon. As we take this inspiration into our prayers for North Korea, Somalia, all the dark corners of the world, we are radiating the light of divine Love. "God so loved the world. . ." John 3:16 So do we! The Daily Lifts get the Word out to the world. Thank you to all who do the delivering all along the way. Deep gratitude.

  28. What a wonderful message. That you so much!

  29. Thank you, Jon. God must love me very much to have sent this LIft at this time. And thanks, too, #5 Elena and #18 nela. Everyone's comments are building the wall, and I am deeply grateful for this community.

As I was starting to read the Weekly Bible Lesson this morning, these words came to me:

"humble servant of the restful Mind."

I'm sharing this because it seems to be in synch with Jon's Lift. Love to all of you.

  30. P.S.

Thanks for the cool music and the humble, reverent, sincere voice at the end, too! Also, to #12 Eleanor, Roade, England.

  31. Thank You John for this lift.

  32. Thank you, Jon, for this inspiring and perfect Lift.

  34. What a grand and effective concept! Thanks so much, Jon.

  35. Yes indeed, C/S is a radical system of ideas because it's based on a spiritual outlook and away, far, far away from a material outlook. It holds no truth to a physical creation but shows without doubt, since it can be demonstrated, to be a spiritual creation.

  36. I found myself doing a little word searching with this one Jon. Webster online definition of radical was a pleasant surprise to me!

1: of, relating to, or proceeding from a root: as of or growing from the root of a plant <radical tubers> also, …linguistic root or mathematical root. 2:: of or relating to the origin : fundamental and (finally, what I was expecting): 3 a : very different from the usual or traditional : extreme

We are all radical! Now to be humble enough to acknowledge our spiritual, divine origin and as
Jesus suggested: "Learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls." Matt.11.

    Thanks Jon!

  37. Thank you for sharing this wonderful insight and for the manner in which it is presented. Thank you so much!

  38. Sincere gratitude Jon, What a lovely way to send Peace to our world on this Memorial Day, starting with me.

  40. Thank you Jon for this needed and eloquent healing thought.

  41. Thanks for the words of inspiration may God continue to bless you with wisdom

  42. Dear Jon
    Thank you!
And also thanks to #18 for insights!

  43. Thank you, Jon, for this simple but profound message.

Thank you, DL team, for all your good work and music. What a comfort and a delight to wake up to the Daily Lift, even on holidays! (Today is Memorial Day in the USA.)

Thank you, Bevi #26, for your comment that "Being willing to ask God to help us get ourselves out of the way is Our Job" - What a perfect prayer!

Thank you, Nancy # 36, for the definitions, which certainly expand our concept of what it is to be meekly radical/radically meek. It means, as Paul said (Eph. 3:17), "being rooted and grounded in love".

And thanks to all the DL family arounf the world for your loving, inspired, prayerful thoughts that expand each DL message and help it to take wings in my thinking. Love to all!

  44. Thank you Jon, Wonderful lift.

  45. Listening to your message this morning, I appreciated that both words -
radical and meekness - are action words with power and wisdom behind them.
By action I mean the appearance of the divine phenomena as described in Hymn 49
"Drop Thy still dews of quietness,
    Till all our strivings cease;
Take from us now the strain and stress,
And let our ordered lives confess
    The beauty of Thy peace."
    (Christian Science Hymnal)
Attending a military memorial site in the United States with my son a few years ago I noticed he was overcome with the heavy solemn atmosphere.
The comfort of this kind of message may be much needed by some today, to
"Take from us now the heavy solemn atmosphere."
Thank you Jon and the Lifters for your help.

  46. Thank you so much Jon, this is wonderful !

  47. Thank you Jon for lifting my thought today! And I just love reading everyone's comments from throughout the globe. "Precious" is the best word I can think of to describe all your uplifting thoughts. Thanks to all.

  48. Many thanks, Jon, for this amazing and timely lift! The need for meekness is becoming so much clearer for me. And this shows me it is not loss, but GAIN!
Also, Nate, you said we were getting new music a few weeks ago. Each week I have been enjoying the originality and quality of the "new"music. Thanks to all the musicians.

  49. Thank you Jon,for this stimulating lift!!

  50. THANK YOU so much! that was an incredibly powerful lift! I love "Meek Revolutionary" Thats what Jesus showed us we could be and do! Thank you again.

  51. Thank you very much!

  52. Self-condemnation and self - righteousness has formed my identity for so long. How I long to be born again! A meek embodying of God's goodness will act as salve to my self- condemnation and will soften the chains of self-righteousness that bind me.For so long I have not allowed the thought that God loves me and is pouring his goodness into me. Allowing this to happen and accepting it fully is a symbol of true meekness, I think.Just like a new-born babe, I must take small steps, listening and being guided by God's spiritual voice. Of myself, I can do nothing, but with God's grace all things are possible!

  53. Thanks!! I appreciated hearing this uplifting message.

  54. In her writings, Mary Baker Eddy teaches us to think logically, deeply, from the root of the one God and His divine manifestation, overturning everything ungodlike. This is the type of revolution we need. We must be courageous, but not aggressive against our fellow man. All people who rebell against evil are invited to join this spritual revolution which leads to peace.

  55. Let the good flow! Thank you!

  57. Thank you so much for this and helping us live truly for God, not to please men, and thereby demonstrating Christian Science. Thank you for this today!

  58. So all encompassing, powerful, meek, and so completely practical every moment for every need and situation. Many thanks, Ken,

  59. Thank you Jon, this is a very uplifting message. Thank you again, and the good is flowing , nothing can stop it. Much love and gratitude to all the team, making this sharing of spiritual ideas possible.

  60. WOW!...Thank You so much for reminding me of my job

  61. An inspiring Lift! Thanks, Jon.

  62. Thank you.

  63. This is a beautiful message and if lived can transform our human experience peace

  64. This is late in the day, but I wish to express my gratitude for your "Lift" today!
In the Bible Lesson this week we read one very short sentence from Science & Health on page 452:18 "Right is radical." Only three words there, but much to think about.

  65. Thank you for this Science of creation.

  66. EXCELLENT!!!
Thank you I needed that endorsement today.

    I needed that endorsement today.

  68. What a powerful Daily Lift! I feel like I learned so much from it. Many thanks.

  69. So very helpful. Thank you for this empowering message that both strengthens and tenderizes thought.

  70. GREAT take Jon!

  71. Thank you for this inspiring lift. My Father does the work. "Oh may we be still and seek Him..."

    Daily Lift Team:
Quote is from Hymn 237 in the Christian Science Hymnal:

"O may we be still and seek Him,
    Seek with consecration whole,
Listening thus to hear the message,
Far from sense and hid in Soul."

  72. Dear Jon, Thank you for that wonderful daily lift. It was just what I needed today. I'm full of gratitude for daily lifts it just helps me on my way to a good day.

  73. thank you jon,for this lovely and interesting lift.I love the way you say it.I was wondering could we say that Jesus was almost a politition? and if so ,the only one ever to be wholly truthful and consistent in His teaching never wavering and naver letting anyone down ,totally honest, sincere and willing to die for his cause.Love and truth being His cause he is still folloewd by billions today and must be the only politic (if we can call Him one)whose cause is everlasting infinite and immortal!! He is the only one I woyuld ever follow! His radicality ,meekness truth and love, made Him unique.,but also incredibly strong.through God.My vote is always and only for Him.
    love and peace to all.

  74. a belated thank you but none the less grateful.

  75. Thanks for the Daily Lift. I've been having a problem with my internet connection for almost a month. I am happy that it's working.

  76. Thank you, Jon! What a powerful message and reminder of the need for meekness in our radical stand for Truth. Excellent!

  77. Thank you Jon for this inspirational Lift....and I so love, love, love, you lecture, Stepping out of the Story--and Into Healing.

  78. thank you jon

  79. Jon, your voice expresses so wonderfully the message as well as your well chosen words. I always enjoy the daily lifts and the messages they bring. I will listen for the "still small voice" and try and be in tune to receive the divine message and recogize it when I hear it. Thank you for sharing your uplifted ides.

  80. Calmly telling us a very shake- up idea! Thanks.

  81. Not only is the message beautiful, but the delivery is absolutely wonderful.

  82. Talk about drauma, dramatic impact, and delivery, Mr. Benson is a great exemplar of the art of getting one's attention and keeping it, with his dramatic style that leaves a powerful impression of Jesus' familiar sayings. I love this lift: "SPIRIT'S ETERNAL UNDERSTANDING, NOT HUMAN OPINION." This affirmation lifts one above and beyond vulnerabilities. And isn't that what Christian Science does, lifts one up to Good Ideas and constructive use of time, energy, Mind, LIfe, Truth, Love for all to enjoy and reap the benefits.

  83. Thank you so much for the very interesting, instructive and helpful message
