Thank you! I never thought of consciousness and Love in this way before but thought I would have to be conscious of Love myself instead of
understanding that I already was living in the consciousness of Love!

Thank You Brian,
This is the perfect message to hold in thought for someone who is once again temporarily "homeless". The thought that they "Dwell in Divine Love wherever they lay their head" is comforting and should help to provide a secure, comfortable and practicle answer, especially at this time of year.
Thank you again for this loving message.

So many things in our thoughts and experience are reversed by the metaphysics of Christian Science. Our consciousness of Love is a reflection of the divine light. We yield to and reflect the Love that is God, not needing to create something we don't have. Many thanks Brian!

Wherever I am, God is! To dwell in the "consciousness of Love", as MBE explains on Psalm 23, ( S&H 578:17) we need to make sure we don't allow in our thought any suggestion of law of any kind that can control us, bully us, crash us or deprive our consciousness of good of any kind. "Jesus once said, "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink," — presuming not on the prerogative of his creator, but recognizing God, the Father and Mother of all, as able to feed and clothe man as He doth the lilies." S&H 530:7

Thanks so much, Brian. A month or so ago I decided that whenever I saw a homeless person, or someone begging by the road, instead of seeing them as poor and needy I would affirm in my own thought that these individuals could only be really dwelling in the 'consciousness of Love'.
So am grateful to have this truth reaffirmed in this Daily Lift!

It is really helpful to know where the responsibility for our home lies, to know that God alone is in control. And then, to realise that this our God is Love, is extremely reassuring. Mary Baker Eddy says it best in Science and Health 'The depth, breadth, height, might, majesty and glory of infinite Love fill all space. That is enough!' Certainly is.
Thanks Brian

Thank you for this lovely Lift, Brian. We watched The Soloist tonight. A movie about the homeless in Los Angeles, California. It was about a man who played the cello beautifully, and learned to accept love. I was praying one day and God said "Love is not something we get. Love is who we are." God always speaks to us with words we understand. As one who spent nights in big pipes under roads far out west, and tucked in down a little bush track, I do appreciate that we are at home in consciousness absolutely everywhere.
Thank you for this wonderful Christmas gift, Brian. Everyone will appreciate it as a gift of unconditional love. (In Australia we call a gift - a present - a pressie. It's what we do. . . )

WOW!!! Thank you Brian for giving us another way to ponder on dwelling in Love's consciousness. Man lives in God's consciousness and dwells in Love's consciousness of man. When I observe a homeless individual, I think to myself he or she is never homeless. Our home is in God. Man is just temporarily houseless. Thank you once again Brian for such an uplifting concept.

This is beautiful. And it works all ways. Sometimes we are loving and love is returned to us. Sometimes God's love is revealed in the human kindness we receive, and sometimes we know it directly from the Source of it all. But this Lift says it lots better than my thank you...
I do like to tell others and remind myself that true home is hinted or revealed in elevated affections. And that "heart" and "hearth" are from the same root...

Brian: WOW, another "light bulb" moment from the Daily Lift - dwelling in LOVE'S consciousness - isn't it just like mortal man to have looked at this as always me and mine?!? HA!!! Thanks so much, Brian, for sharing LOVE'S insight. And thanks, also, for the wonderful lecture in Waco on Sunday - it made the idea of healing in Christian Science so natural and attainable.

Brian,
What a great revelation!!! This spiritual truth, that we all dwell in Love’s consciousness of us for ever can be seen and traced in the following precepts and line upon lines of the Scriptures as stated by Christ Jesus: "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14: 1-3) "And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." (John 1: 16-18) "Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. (John 4: 11-14) Thank you for another great lift!!!

Brian, Wow! Thanks for "enlarging our tents" by enlarging our understanding that we truly “live in Love's consciousness of us" and are not limited to just what we understand of “what we are consciousness of Love” today! This is one gift that will keep on giving as we treasure, share and grow in the wonderful understanding of God, divine Love, the Father-Mother of the family of man made in Love’s image and likeness, in “Love’s consciousness of us!” Thank you, thank you!

Thank you, Brian. My husband and I recently stopped for lunch at a fast food restaurant and I witnessed a man traveling with large suitcases who after some perception, I realized he was homeless. My heart went out to him and I started feeling sorry for him. But today your thoughts will enable me to withhold him and others in the same situation with the spiritual thought that they are really in Love's consciousness. No time to be sad or sorrowful. Thank you again.

Thanks, Brian. Some parents have children who are coming of age and wanting to express their individuality in finding a place of their own, or moving into a home with good friends. It's comforting to know that our children are covered with Love's knowledge of them as well as of ourselves. What better and more safe place can we be than being in Love's shelter where ever we are.

Understanding this truth helps to relieve the false belief that we are responsible for the maintenance of our home, too. Originally, economy meant how a woman maintained her home. Our Father/Mother does the maintaining and she addeth no sorrow with it!
The article by Adam Dickey entitled Possession brings out some lovely points regarding our true home.

Thank you for that reminder. It was a line from the 23rd Psalm that brought me into CS, at a bad time in my life I turned to God for help, and I heard the angel message "leave the valley", at the time I lived in a community that the name ended in Valley, so I asked leave this valley, but I heard this "leave the valley of the shadow of death and fear no evil" I don't think I'd heard that Psalm for many years before then, but there it was in my consciousness, and at the same time an image of an aunt came into my thought, and she was a Christian Scientist, and I knew I had to call her. As I've heard before, the rest is history, my life has been better since that day, not without challenges, but always with God I can affirm he keeps his promises. Thanks again!

Thank you for the good thoughts today. Comfort is right here because we dwell in His consciousness and God, good, Christ, is the Comforter. Thank you, Brian, for that beautiful “lift” for the day! Hymn # 93 1st & 3rd verses by William P. McKenzie from the Christian Science Hymnal goes right along with the thoughts you shared.
Happy the man whose heart can rest,
Assured God’s goodness ne’er will cease;
Each day, complete, with joy is blessed,
God keepeth him in perfect peace.
Dwelling in Love that cannot change,
From anxious fear man finds release;

Thank you Brian for those words of comfort and healing. I pass many homeless when I'm in Chicago and the thought of those who are homeless as living in the consciousness of Love as their permanent dwelling is a true healing idea. While in the train station waiting for my train a man came up to me asking for money for food, but I said, I have a box of food that I couldn't finish from a restaurant and you are welcome to it. He gratefully took it. In the past I have given these dear ones money and I may again do that in the future but my prayer will always be based on the supply that operates unspent as the Love that is ever flowing from God operating continuously and constantly from an infinite spiritual resource and can never be diminished.

Thank you, Brian. That's exactly the progression of thought I had earlier this week, when listening deeply to this Psalm. I'd always thought about enlarging my sense of Love, my consciousness of what Love was, and living more and more within that. But this time, I could hear an angel whisper, "Come closer." When I did, I could almost literally feel myself standing within Love's awareness of me. God, Love, knowing me that very moment. Love, conscious of me. And I thought, "Oh, now THIS is where I want to live." And of course, once I saw that, I sensed the deepest truth: that I (and every one of God's beloved) had ALWAYS lived as, and within, what Love knew/knows of us. Where else could we ever be?
Yes, this LIft has been like the presenting and unwrapping of a most wondrous Christmas gift. Actually, no, it's not been "like" that--it IS a most wondrous gift!!
Joy to every single one of Love's ideas, involved in the production and appreciation of these Daily LIfts.

Thank you so much for your message. I was surprised to hear it because I think so often when people think of someone who is homeless it is stereo typed into the homeless people who are standing with signs along the road or in parking lots and I don't fit into that stereotype, so I wasn't thinking that there were enough people like me that it was a topic that would be addressed. I so much appreciate your thoughts on dwelling in God's conciousness and that I dwell in the house of the Lord forever. I can know that for myself and for all who find themselves in the situatation of not having a material home.

What a simple, profound fact. Thank you! It translates beautifully to prayers for my Marine son deployed in the field in Afghanistan. This morning, my thought rested on the citation from Psalms in this week's lesson that says, "The Lord shall preserve thee from evil: he shall preserve thy soul." God keeps these individuals on the front lines or those without a physical roof over their heads pure and trusting, safe and sheltered. He protects their souls, their spiritual identity and strength, from any assault of the senses. They are sane and at peace, centered and untouched by the human picture, as they dwell "in the consciousness of Love" always at home with their Father.

Thank you, Brian. This way to think on the verse is a breakthrough. Not that Mrs. Eddy doesn't cover the concept, but it's how we take up concepts and apply them that determines our experience. You've helped me, already. After listening to the Lift before dropping in bed this morning, I awakened with a strong headache, a problem I have too frequently had to ride out, rather than cure quickly, I thought about the Lift and knew I didn't have to get conscious of truths about God. God's consciousness of me didn't include the problem. It wasn't long before I was free. That's just starting to use the Lift for myself, I'm expecting more. The spiritual light this puts on a Psalm so loved by many religions, clearly shows it says exactly what you revealed, another solid confirmation of Christian Science teachings. Language can only inform; understanding determines what we get from the information. Thank you for this Christmas-time gift of understanding. It's a gift that will keep on giving, with enough to share freely.

Thanks Brian! Living in a tent for 13 months is not a bad thing when Love's consciousness fills the tent. The tent-dweller needs to know this, but we can all help him/her by acknowledging the ever-presence of Love.
74 - I can identify with your Marine son. A thought always helpful to me --- in and around the tent --- was: "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." (S&H 463:12-13) When we see all those around us as God's children, spiritual ideas, we're protected from any offensive thought or action.

Blessed we are with inspired ideas like yours, and we know that all ideas come from divine Love, God. I am grateful to God for your 'lift'. The 23rd Psalm and
“In Him we live and move and have our being.” from Acts 17:28 were my prayers when last May I had to move from the place where I resided for 14 years. I was not sure what would happen to me then, but the study of the daily lesson and those statements full of substance gave me comfort and assurance that 'all is well'. I was able to move to another location not far from where I was and contrary to all suggestions of high prices, difficulty in finding a residence in the area, etc., I found a place that is better, affordable, comfortable and quiet. What a blessing!

Translation to 46, Rosa Maria
Each day the Father provides for our needs, "Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift!" (2 Cor. 9:15)
There is no need to be mortified, worried, full of doubt or confusion for what will happen tomorrow, Each day has enough worry about itself.
if we look back we will see how we were provided in each of the hardships we played through, "Come unto me...and I will give you rest"

I appreciated this 'lift' so much, it stayed with me all day yesterday, and was so inspiring I listened again this morning too, just to ensure the concept of being in 'Love's consciousness of me' was that tangible. I found the concept quite enormous to grasp, that at first I couldn't conceive it, and kept thinking and maintaining it as an idea in all my activities.
Thank you . It is still unfolding for me.

The 23rd Pslam is a favorite of mine; one I've used many times to help get my thoughts back on track. Various Bible commentaries have many helpful interpretations and insights, but dwelling in "Love's consciousness of us" takes this psalm to a new level for me.
Thanks, Susan

One morning as I was getting into my car in the parking lot at a local grocery store, a very nice young man approached me and asked for money. I told him I would buy him a meal. Several eating establishments were a few feet away. I suggested a fast food place. He said, "Do you mind if we go next door to the restaurant? It's actually cheaper, better food, and I can share the meal with a friend because they give you a lot of food." So we went to the restaurant and got his meal. He was so grateful. Since my brother was "homeless" for a long time and our family did not know where he was, I look at these people in a different light. I see them as the "loved of Love" never separated from their Father-Mother God. What a beautiful gift of Love this lift is to all.

I love that.
I have been working hard to dwell in the secret place of the most High. Psalm 91. To keep my thoughts spiritual, loving and protected in that secret safe place. It is wonderful to think of being in Love's consciousness there.
Thanks.

Brian, you have given me a new way of thinking of a favorite verse, "For in Him we live and move and have our being." (Acts 17:28)
In Him -- in Love's consciousness of us -- we live and move and have our being.
Thank you, Brian, and thank you to the BoL for keeping these Daily Lifts up for us to refer to long past their original airing.

- 12/10/2010Thank you! I never thought of consciousness and Love in this way before but thought I would have to be conscious of Love myself instead of
understanding that I already was living in the consciousness of Love!

- 12/10/2010Thank You Brian,
This is the perfect message to hold in thought for someone who is once again temporarily "homeless". The thought that they "Dwell in Divine Love wherever they lay their head" is comforting and should help to provide a secure, comfortable and practicle answer, especially at this time of year.
Thank you again for this loving message.

- 12/10/2010So many things in our thoughts and experience are reversed by the metaphysics of Christian Science. Our consciousness of Love is a reflection of the divine light. We yield to and reflect the Love that is God, not needing to create something we don't have. Many thanks Brian!

It's not us being conscious of God but God's consciousness of us.
A much more encompassing idea: the realization that it is not what we are doing but what God is doing for us.

- 12/10/2010Wherever I am, God is!

- 12/10/2010Thanks so much, Brian.

"Eternal [infinite] Mind the Potter is,..." (Christian Science Hymnal #52)

- 12/10/2010Thank you for this lovely Lift, Brian.
It's what we do. . . )

- 12/10/2010WOW!!!

- 12/10/2010This is beautiful.

- 12/10/2010Brian: WOW, another "light bulb" moment from the Daily Lift - dwelling in LOVE'S consciousness - isn't it just like mortal man to have looked at this as always me and mine?!? HA!!! Thanks so much, Brian, for sharing LOVE'S insight. And thanks, also, for the wonderful lecture in Waco on Sunday - it made the idea of healing in Christian Science so natural and attainable.

- 12/10/2010Brian,
What a great revelation!!!

- 12/10/2010Brian, Wow!

- 12/10/2010Thank you, Brian.

- 12/10/2010Thanks, Brian. Some parents have children who are coming of age and wanting to express their individuality in finding a place of their own, or moving into a home with good friends. It's comforting to know that our children are covered with Love's knowledge of them as well as of ourselves. What better and more safe place can we be than being in Love's shelter where ever we are.

- 12/10/2010The minute I heard "We dwell in Love's consciousness of us" I wrote it down. Then I read all the comments and saw that everybody had done the same thing! It's never about us, but always about GOD. "His Love encircles me and mine and all." MBE's hymn. Thanks so much Brian! :)

- 12/10/2010Hearing this is a blessing today, thank you. My husband and I are in this very challenge. Home and supply. Rather than accept this picture of being homeless we've strived to see our home and supply in God. Your talk is one more step up. Thank you!

- 12/10/2010Understanding this truth helps to relieve the false belief that we are responsible for the maintenance of our home, too. Originally, economy meant how a woman maintained her home. Our Father/Mother does the maintaining and she addeth no sorrow with it!
The article by Adam Dickey entitled Possession brings out some lovely points regarding our true home.

- 12/10/2010Thank you for that reminder.

- 12/10/2010Thank you, Brian, for that beautiful “lift” for the day! Hymn # 93 1st & 3rd verses by William P. McKenzie from the Christian Science Hymnal goes right along with the thoughts you shared.
Happy the man whose heart can rest,
Assured God’s goodness ne’er will cease;
Each day, complete, with joy is blessed,
God keepeth him in perfect peace.
Dwelling in Love that cannot change,
From anxious fear man finds release;
No more his homeless longings range,
God keepeth him in perfect peace.

- 12/10/2010Thank you Brian for those words of comfort and healing.

- 12/10/2010Thank you, Brian.

- 12/10/2010Thank you so much for your message.

- 12/10/2010What a simple, profound fact.

- 12/10/2010Thank you, Brian.

- 12/10/2010Thanks Brian!

- 12/11/2010Blessed we are with inspired ideas like yours, and we know that all ideas come from divine Love, God.

- 12/11/2010Translation to 46, Rosa Maria
Each day the Father provides for our needs, "Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift!" (2 Cor. 9:15)
There is no need to be mortified, worried, full of doubt or confusion for what will happen tomorrow, Each day has enough worry about itself.
if we look back we will see how we were provided in each of the hardships we played through, "Come unto me...and I will give you rest"

- 12/11/2010I appreciated this 'lift' so much, it stayed with me all day yesterday, and was so inspiring I listened again this morning too, just to ensure the concept of being in 'Love's consciousness of me' was that tangible. I found the concept quite enormous to grasp, that at first I couldn't conceive it, and kept thinking and maintaining it as an idea in all my activities.
Thank you . It is still unfolding for me.
( I am looking for the copy of 'Possession by Adam Dickey' but couldn't find it via the link, not sure where 'anthology' section was - any clues please?!)

- 12/11/2010This meets a true need now for those of us who may be wondering what next place we will be living,. To know that I always live in God and in his consciousness of me is a very real comfort.

- 12/11/2010The 23rd Pslam is a favorite of mine; one I've used many times to help get my thoughts back on track. Various Bible commentaries have many helpful interpretations and insights, but dwelling in "Love's consciousness of us" takes this psalm to a new level for me.
Thanks, Susan

- 12/12/2010One morning as I was getting into my car in the parking lot at a local grocery store, a very nice young man approached me and asked for money.

- 12/14/2010I love that.
I have been working hard to dwell in the secret place of the most High. Psalm 91. To keep my thoughts spiritual, loving and protected in that secret safe place. It is wonderful to think of being in Love's consciousness there.
Thanks.

- 4/2/2012Brian, you have given me a new way of thinking of a favorite verse, "For in Him we live and move and have our being." (Acts 17:28)
In Him -- in Love's consciousness of us -- we live and move and have our being.
Thank you, Brian, and thank you to the BoL for keeping these Daily Lifts up for us to refer to long past their original airing.
