Thank you, Suzanne! I have felt Our Father's smiles at times. Thanks to your great Lift this morning, I'm going to expect those smiles at all times. I'm reminded of a conversation of long ago, about the phrase, "Spare the rod and spoil the child." It was brought out that the Shepherd uses the rod to guide, not to beat. So, my vision here (actually, it's more like a "feeling of a warm, spiritual embrace!"), is of Our Loving Father smiling and gently guiding "...for He careth..."(1 Peter 5:7) ...always - no interruption of Love...no interruption to rejoicing and being glad for uninterrupted Love - every day!!! Maybe not the world's view. But that's okay. It's about time for a better view. :-) Thanks again, for inspiring my thought.

On my daily seven-mile walk, I try to smile at those I meet coming the other way. Not everyone is looking, and many are hidden behind large dark sunglasses. But as the Bible declares, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him." The same is true for smiles.

Suzanne, YOUR Daily Lifts are always winners! What a great message to follow the Easter weekend. Waking to our Father's all-embracing love, and our place in His spiritual creation, makes everything feel so much warmer, lighter, and more available right here, right now. We can get even the smallest hint of God's love for us when we ask a simple question, and receive the answer at once. Instead of wondering at the spontaneity of the response, think what it implies in terms of recognition, readiness and preparedness to fulfil every need and yearning. God is our Father-Mother at every moment, and there is no way we can find ourselves separated from His "care and unconditional approval."
Thank you Nathan and the team; the BoL and lecturers; and our Daily Lifters.

What a powerful message...each of us needed, wanted and loved by God, a part of His plan, a part of his grand design. It takes large thinking to think in this way and that is the demand placed upon us; to value our purpose as God's purpose, to find meaning in Spirit. The way you give this message is very rich. Thank you very much. I will listen to this throughout the day. Thank you also to the responders. I find their responses just as helpful as the original uplift. Very good.

Thank you Suzanne a really lovely Lift to start the week with.
In The Church of Scotland we sing this beautiful blessing after the Christening:
24The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

When the local Children Services Organization contacted our church for participation in prayer supporting the Presidential Proclamation of April as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness month, we jumped on board. The month culminates in Blue Sunday, April 29th. Last week, when I visited with a Children Services worker, she confirmed that they were looking for prayerful support of such children and the social workers that are involved. When I asked about the parents, weren’t they children too, children of God, she was delighted in such a refreshing view.
Suzanne, your lift is the lynch pin connecting us to what this childhood specifically means.
Posters and pinwheels in our church yard speak of child abuse prevention in support of a community program, but more importantly our prayers actively affirm the entitlements of all of God’s children.

Thank you Suzanne for a clear and precious spiritually elevating thought today. It is so important and empowering to see and know that God approves of each one of us and to know that God is expressing Him/Her self in the individuality of each of us, as each of us, in one perfect brilliant creation. Today’s lift refers to Numbers 6: 24-27, a short prayer that, through God, Moses gave to Aaron and his sons, reminding and reassuring us that we were created to be, to see, and to know the face of God. Paul reminds us in 2Cor:3:18 that we can observe our transformation as we allow our own thoughts and actions each day to be transformed to better reflect God’s likeness, that we may see the face of God in ourselves and others. Paul also reminds us in 2Cor4:6 that the light and knowledge of the glory of God is in the face of Christ Jesus our exemplar. Beholding the face of God as ourselves and in others is to face the actual presence of God, to have direct first-hand knowledge of God, to be fearless and unintimidated by any suggestion of error and to know and experience the joy and reality of unlimited possibilities.

What a beautiful smiling Lift. This morning when I looked out the window I saw two deer on the lawn nibbling on the greening grass. As they wandered off a robin came hopping a cross the driveway. I am so glad to hear the real meaning of" Spare the rod and spoil the child." The shepherd's rod , even now is to gently guide, softly pressure the sheep to go in the right path, to keep them from danger and they receive that firm but gentle guidance. I notice how persistant and loving the shepherd guides his flock into the green, mountain pastures every summer and how lovingly he washes their faces and pats each little head. May we use this lesson with own little ones and see their bright smiles. Thank you Syzanne for the loving Lift today.

I always feel that a smile represents God's joy shining through. Even if you are penniless, you can give a smile. And that smile, which represents God's Love, is a present given to us to be shared by others. That smile from God, to us, and then shared can uplift the world. How can we not smile when we know that God's love is ours and is blessing us every moment?

Thank you for the cheerful lift Suzanne. Like Jacob, going to reconcile with his brother, Esau, we can see our brothers and sisters, God's children, as reflecting this smiling face of God, and they are pleased with us, as we are with them. It is more than seeking human approval; it is a demonstration of the at-one-ment between God and us, between God and all of his creation.

To each Lifter who shares with others their thoughts and desire/assurance of spiritual progress for today, I am so grateful. The smile of the Father, to me is the spiritual reminder of our present, and forever, inheritance of direct communication and care, of inevitable victory over whatever seems difficult. God is with us, and telling us so. In fact, HE is causing every right thought and of course, approving our expression of them. It is His Allness that relieves our fears and assures us He is smiling on His own idea. We have so much to rejoice in.

Recently, I read that a smile is the first step toward ending wars. I would enlarge on that and say that a smile is the first step towards ending every type of inharmony. A smile ltells people that they are worthy of your attention, appreciated as an individual child of God.
In particular, we muxt smile at those we meet who look as though they need to be loved.
Thank you Suzanne for this beautiful, heartfelt reminder to everyon to Keep Smiling.

Thanks for reminding me of an earlier inspiration and its resulting healing. As God's idea and expression, we are each God's expression of joy. We are each God's unique smile. That evidence of love, peace, joy. That communication that cannot be blocked or misinterpreted.
Thanks, too, for the connection with the proof over the last 40 years of Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication or Compassionate Communication ending wars, genocide, retaliation, gang violence, rapes, etc. when each individual felt truly empathically heard as crying out to have our shared human needs met, and through that understanding naturally comes our compassion and joy of helping meet the other's needs. This smile in the eye, this smiling listening attitude, this smiling response, this smile result in the other being heard and seen correctly, this smile at the relief and solutions' success.
Thanks, too, for the connection that I now can't find in MBE's writings that we can never appease mortal mind. It is mindless, loveless, truthless. We are freed of that need to argue/fight, flee, freeze, appease/please, We aren't distracted and we don't want to even try, because we feel how infinitely God is pleased with us. As we are, who we are, here and now, always.
As the loving parent can't help but smile delighted with Her/His beloved child in whom She/He is well-pleased. Or the artist, choreographer, composer, gardener, engineer, chef... is overjoyed smiling at his/her creation.

Like Jacob said to Esau, that he saw his face as if it were the face of God, and he was pleased with him. It is a feeling. I recently experienced that while attending a church of another denomination and participating in their communion. The man who was holding the cup of wine which we dipped the bread in, a stranger to me, looked at me with such love, joy, tenderness, spiritual communion, depth, it was amazing. He radiated warmth and welcome to the guest so tangibly. Christly communication.

- 4/9/2012On my daily seven-mile walk, I try to smile at those I meet coming the other way. Not everyone is looking, and many are hidden behind large dark sunglasses. But as the Bible declares, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him." The same is true for smiles.

- 4/9/2012Suzanne, YOUR Daily Lifts are always winners!

- 4/9/2012What a powerful message...each of us needed, wanted and loved by God, a part of His plan, a part of his grand design. Very good.

- 4/9/2012Thank you Suzanne a really lovely Lift to start the week with.
In The Church of Scotland we sing this beautiful blessing after the Christening:
24The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

- 4/9/2012Great Lift, Suzanne, thanks so very much.
Nela #4, I love the reminder that the rod is used in love by our beneficent Father-Mother, not as punishment. And Robert, #7, your 7-mile daily walks must give you some great opportunities to commune with God!
Thanks for a great start to this day!

- 4/9/2012Many thanks Suzanne for this joyful reminder. I too love this hymn! "Think what spirit dwells within thee;/ Think what Father's smiles are thine;" (Christian Science Hymnal #166). And a following command to all of us, "So fulfill thy holy mission,"

- 4/9/2012Thank you for that great Lift. It is always good to smile. My Mother always seemed to smile ,if she didn't my sister and I would ask her if something was wrong and she would answer 'do I always have to smile? and she would smile. It is a good habit to smile makes other people feel better. Thanks again.

- 4/9/2012When the local Children Services Organization contacted our church for participation in prayer supporting the Presidential Proclamation of April as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness month, we jumped on board.

- 4/9/2012Thank you Suzanne for a clear and precious spiritually elevating thought today.

- 4/9/2012Thank you, Suzanne, Lift team and commenting community. Such a tender message. May the truth of God's approval be the only influence in each of Love's offspring today, "enriching the affections of all mankind" (from The Daily Prayer by Mary Baker or Eddy) for "Love is reflected in love" (S& H 17:7 by MB Eddy).

- 4/9/2012What a beautiful smiling Lift. This morning when I looked out the window I saw two deer on the lawn nibbling on the greening grass. As they wandered off a robin came hopping a cross the driveway. The first thought was thank you God for smiling down on me. A physical smile along with a smile in the heart infects everyone who comes in contact with it.
So, Suzanne, and all the Lift team, I smiling at you today and always.

- 4/9/2012I am so glad to hear the real meaning of" Spare the rod and spoil the child." The shepherd's rod , even now is to gently guide, softly pressure the sheep to go in the right path, to keep them from danger and they receive that firm but gentle guidance. I notice how persistant and loving the shepherd guides his flock into the green, mountain pastures every summer and how lovingly he washes their faces and pats each little head. May we use this lesson with own little ones and see their bright smiles. Thank you Syzanne for the loving Lift today.

- 4/9/2012I always feel that a smile represents God's joy shining through. Even if you are penniless, you can give a smile. And that smile, which represents God's Love, is a present given to us to be shared by others. That smile from God, to us, and then shared can uplift the world. How can we not smile when we know that God's love is ours and is blessing us every moment?

- 4/9/2012It is good to be reminded that the smiles keep coming from their infinite source. We only need to recieve them and smile back. - 4/9/2012Thank you for the cheerful lift Suzanne.

- 4/9/2012To each Lifter who shares with others their thoughts and desire/assurance of spiritual progress for today, I am so grateful.

- 4/9/2012Recently, I read that a smile is the first step toward ending wars.

- 4/9/2012Thank You Suzanne for this beautiful message, God smiling on us as approval of His unconditional love. So much needed here today when we are being bombarded with popular belief about the state of the world affairs - God smiling on me today is an inspiring message that I really do belong, just where I am - living with this truth of "divine love has met and will always meet every human need" , assures me I will be guided safely !

- 4/9/2012Thanks for reminding me of an earlier inspiration and its resulting healing.

- 4/9/2012Like Jacob said to Esau, that he saw his face as if it were the face of God, and he was pleased with him.

- 4/22/2012Thank you for this clear truth. We are never left out of God's plans for us and all of the Universe moves in a forward progression. It is like Spring and Nature. Its resplendent power of renewal cannot be stopped. God loves each and every one of us. I have felt unloved, unpurposeful many times over the years and I think I have kicked that bad habit! Not easy, but with great effort and constant alertness, God has great treasures for us all. Thanks again.
