Thanks Suzanne. I can totally relate to letting go of the cursor to technical support, and love the parallel idea of trusting God to take control of our lives. I learned the passage that starts “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding” when I was 9, and have used it ever since. Thanks for these helpful reminders.

I am so grateful for the great visual metaphor of the computer tech fixing my computer, watching that cursor move without my doing or interfering, and trusting that help...just as Love does constantly for each of us. My sister passed on today and I am trusting God's complete care for her (and for all of us). Understanding and knowing that Love governs and comforts without interruption is helpful to me beyond words. Amidst the things that need to be done in the next few days it is strengthening to KNOW that Love WILL direct our path, clear the way, guide us and govern us, comfort us. I am confident that I can trust Mind's mothering care with my WHOLE heart ...and it fills my heart to know that there is never an instant when any of us is separate from the care and control of Love. I am happy to know that I am not in the driver's seat...but will be taken just where I need to go in thought and action, knowing each step to take. Thank you for such a clear and potent message.

To let go of the control is the hardest thing to do, but it shouldn't be so if we think on God's motives -according to Mrs. Eddy's words, "Spirit, God, gathers unformed thoughts into their proper channels, and unfolds these thoughts, even as He opens the petals of a holy purpose in order that the purpose may appear." (S&H 506:18) His purpose is only good para sus hijos.

Congratulations, Your Daily Lift, on receiving the DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Internet Communications Award of Excellence from the Religion Communicators Council (US).
Thank you, Suzanne, for today's lift. Comparing a remote PC tech, to yielding to God's control somehow makes giving control to God, seem easier to understand and follow. I know it works. Due to procrastination, our youngest's acceptance to a University far west, came late. We couldn't afford to send him. A scholarship for track & C/C was mentioned, but no final word on it came, and calls to the Coach didn't get answered. On Sat. before freshman had to be on campus, nothing was known or ready. It seemed impossible. He tried endlessly to reach Coach. My husband & I had to go out of town that day. On the road, I was angry at the son for late application, my husband for delaying financial aid by not filing early taxes, and at myself for not nagging them to do this. Tears came. Suddenly an angel message reminded me delays didn't hold God back to provide, and it didn't matter what parents the son had, or what son we had! I was at complete peace. Very late Sat. night, I remembered to ask if he had a number for an assistant coach. Suddenly he remembered that's who mentioned the scholarship! The number listed was wrong, but a lady said she'd find one for who she felt we needed. About 12AM their time, the assist. coach returned a message left on his phone and called. He'd get the scholarship Monday, and excuse for late arrival. Without knowing all this, a daughter out of state called Sun. to send $500 for books or other needs. A son out of state called, & had a minivan rented near us. Everything fell in place. Too many details to mention! We got him there the Sat. before classes. God controls wonderfully, even past “11th hours”! We had to let go of all reasons mortal mind told why it wouldn't work out and forgive ourselves. And trust!

What an excelent comparison.
And the impact becomes even clearer when I realize that when I let God take control I also let Life, Truth, Love, Principle, Spirit, Mind, Soul take control.
Thank you!

Thank you so much, Suzanne! My experience with getting some training with a tech person follows your analogy beautifully. Indeed the cursor began moving as the trainer was talking to me on the phone directing me on the steps to take that were necessary to learn the computer program. It was so much simpler to learn that way because you just needed to follow and do what was being demonstrated for you, then you were released to take action. Following God's direction and letting Him/Her take control, listening for guidance on the next step to take, all lead to success in our lives. This is indeed comforting as I step out today with a rigorous schedule. My prayer is now focused on, "Who is in control?" and knowing God is taking the lead.

I live in Singapore, and a friend of mine in Jakarta asked me if I could help find out a sister of her domestic worker, who worked in Singapore. I met her at her employer's apartment this morning. We spoke in the presence of her employer's son. I was outside the door and they were inside in the apartment. I asked the son if she could speak to her sister on the phone, an he said OK. She spoke to her sister on my mobile. She cried a lot. On my way home this thought came to me to let God take control. All these months God has protected her, and He certainly would continue to protect her. When I was home I called my friend, and she said that during the phone conversation the maid said that she endured some kind of abuse. Listening to the Daily Lift has strengthened me, I will acknowledge God, divine Love, in all my ways. I will pray with this verse. Thank you!

A few years ago, I had this experience you mentioned with a tech from Dell who worked in India and had a wonderful accent, but it was a little hard for me to understand so I had to listen very carefully, and even ask him to repeat his instructions several times. Your excellent example this morning, Suzanne, made me re-think that situation, and apply it to a current situation I am working on. When something in our life is "a little hard to understand," and the answer or the healing doesn't come immediately or in the way we have been used to in the past, we need not get discouraged, dismayed, or think we don't have enough understanding, or even wonder "where are you today, God," like I did last month! The proverb, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart," is absolutrely perfect for uplifting our thought while we are letting go of the mortal or material sense of a situation...removing the dark clouds or any barriers that would seem to prevent us from hearing God's angel thoughts....thoughts and ideas that are there for each one of us 24/7. Thanks much, Suzanne. :)

Thank you for this message, especially at this time when there have been challenges for those in the UK and Europe regarding air travel. Knowing that God, Love alone is in control, and trusting in God with all my heart, I have felt a sense of calm that everyone, including my sister, nephew, brother and his new bride on honeymoon, friends, relatives, and I in transit at the UK, enroute to the US, are not stranded, but are all under the orderly control of the one MInd that governs the universe, today and everyday.

I love how we respond to our God's precious love and control over our lives. It is our nature to respond in joy and find the dominion of goodness and expectancy. So much love and arms-wrapped-around in support to #4. It's clear you already know that neither your sister nor you will ever be separated from that goodness and love. And thank you to #49. for so clearly stating that fact. After raising five children through college scholarships, etc., etc., I so appreciated #14.'s demonstration. God is always there! And to #17., I know you are standing firmly in God's control and powerful adjustment of circumstances for your loved one. Mrs. Eddy writes that "Tenderness accompanies all the might imparted by Spirit." It is there, right now. Thank you so much to each of your for taking the time to write, to be grateful and to support others with your love and understanding. What a blessing we have in understanding God's precious, loving control!

Thank you so much for this reminder. Having been married and divorced twice, the suggestion is very strong that I am, once again, ON MY OWN. I have to take care of things, make all decisions, etc. This can quickly become a heavy burden, so when I can remember that God is in control of me and everything I need to do...all I have to do is respond. This is such an excellent Lift, Suzanne. Why do we so often keep pushing ahead instead of just taking two steps back to let God show us what great things He had in Mind all the time! Things much too great for us to even consider. Remember the baskets of food? Where did the baskets come from? God's superabundant provision is just so much greater than our narrow-view estimates of our needs. Hands off and stand back, and really watch God open the way for you.
And Tien: all the love in these Lifts will encompass, embrace and empower you with infinite love. It's as though she's just gone into the next room. She's still at one with God, and always will be, and can't ever be separated from His plan for her.

TY Suzanne. I have always loved these verses from Proverbs. And I really apppreciate the analogy. Before we can receive the help online that is already there, we have to place the call to them. Isn't that like turning to God in prayer to receive the answers & guidance we need that are always there from our all-knowing "Tech". We have to tune in first.
My daughter had many wonderful summers at Camp-Bow Isle. Each year they did trust exercises. I wondered why falling off a picnic table, backwards, into their friends' arms was so important that it was done each year. One morning as I was thinking about trusting and letting God take control which seemed so hard to do at that time, this exercise came to thought. As I mentally stood on the table, with friends below to catch me, closed my eyes, and got ready to fall backwards to the waiting arms I realized how complete that trust had to be. Once I fell the outcome was entirely up to my friends. Never did my daughter's friends ever drop anyone. They were trustworthy. How much more is God, Love, trustworthy. We can place our all in His hands knowing that all is well.

An excellent, intelligent idea, indeed. Whom but our loving, wise Creator really knows what we should do??
For very busy, very "competent, managerial personalities," some folks may struggle with the idea of letting God control things. As a single Mom over a number of years, I wrestled with my need for fast answers to pressing challenges. And now, much later, I look back and realize that our needs were met. And beautifully, amazingly! And still are. I'm so grateful.
Looking forward to your Lecture in Santa Cruz on "Finding the Source of Permanent Good." See you on May 24th!

Bravo on God's Award to all of us who follow HIM?HER. Love, love, love, lets the light shine.

I feel absolutely lost right now so this message couldn't have come at a better time. I just moved cross country, without a job and spent the last month spending every last moment researching a new business venture to make sure it was a sound investment. Everything was lined up, all systems go and I went to put in an offer yesterday on the business just to find out I was beat out by someone else by a matter of hours. Thanks so much, Suzanne, for this wonderful reminder. And kudos to our DL team for the Excellence Award. Also, many hugs to dear Tien. Many comments reminded me of a sabbatical yr. in Mallorca. When I arrived and met the owner of the private schl. where I was to reach, she had decided I was no longer needed. I was so shocked I hardly knew what to do. I had sold my car and rented my house for a yr., taken my 14 yr. old out of school to go with me, and had not a cent for return fare. In panic I called the dear practitioner who was there at the lovely little church they had in Mallorca then. She immediately told me, That woman is not in control of your life. God is. You haven't a thing to worry about. Just go to school tomorrow morning. Which I did, in fear and trembling, and behold, a class was waiting for me. I could hardly believe it. When I met the owner again several days later, she was very cordial. It was as if nothing had ever happened. We consequently spent a wonderful happy year there. Since then I have tried to let God control my every thought and action, always waiting to ask His advice first. Not always easy to do, but am improving over the years. Thank you so much again, Suzanne

This was a wonderful lift. Concerned about one of God's creatures this morning, now I am not concerned. Also, I could relate to several of the other incidents shared. At one time a red warning light was blinking on the Solar equipment. I called the state of Washington, the techie led me through the buttons to push so she could find the problem, and fix it. On a remote farm in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, it was comforting and amazing to have such instant help. It was only a 3" fan giving early warning it should be replaced. It took 4 months to get a repair man to come the 2 hour drive to install the new fan, but patience took care of it, with no worries. Be it slow or fast, up to Thee.

Thank you, Suzanne, for that reassurance that is so appropriate to my current challenge of the last couple of weeks concerning a fractured ankle. As an independent businesswoman and homeowner, adjusting to reliance on neighbors' kindness for all sorts of tasks has taught me even greater gratitude, patience, joy...for all these manifestations of God's goodness reflected in their care and availability. A practitioner's support and my daily renewed trust in Principle's order, Love's compassion, Mind's control, Life's wholeness, Soul's restoration, Spirit's gladness, and Truth's affirmation of my unfallen, unaging, Christly selfhood, continues to sustain. Yes, let God take control, and do so fearlessly and trustingly!

Thanks for the wonderful image of the computer control. I subscribe to a service like that, and absolutely love it. I have to trust the tech who is helping me --- he really knows his business. Thank you Suzanne for that great connection between trusting my computer to a remote tech support person and trusting my life to God. When my computer gets taken over by a remote tech person, I am a little bit in awe when I first see the mouse move, then I am totally relieved and grateful to have the problem be in an expert's hands, and very trusting and expectant that not only will the problem be solved in the best way but that any mess I created, while I was trying to fix the problem, will be cleaned up too. The thought of turning over a situation in my life to God with that same amount of awe, relief, gratitude, trust and confidence makes so much sense now that I've listened to your insightful Daily Lift message. Thank you for this wonderful lesson.

TY.
To 75-At one of the lowest points in my life I clung to Psalm 42:11, "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." I thought my sadness would never leave when an important job fell through. But, I determined to "yet praise God" any way that I could. Some friends that didn't know about my situation stopped by and gave me some of their extra Chinese cabbage from a vegetable market. This unusual gift was like a small ray of sunshine.
In my bleak situation, there wasn't anywhere to go except to God. "The darkest hour precedes the dawn." I had to hope in Him and trust that He had a purpose for me even though it appeared to have been erased. I'm still praying about it, but I've seen many instances of God's hand in my life since then.
"Though the way is dark in mortal sense, divine Life and Love illumine it..."(S&H, p. 596) Let Love light the way, it will.

Grateful for your help, Suzanne, this message I pray will help with a physical (so-called) condition, too. God is in control of what he creates and there is no matter in all our ways. Thank you, Joyce Harrington

This is an outstanding set of comments, and I am so grateful to have seen it. Here is a wonderful example of how we are helping each other in many ways and about so many situations. The Daily Lift deserves our love and support. Many times I have read a comment about a healing of an attitude and realized I needed to correct my thought. The result has always been fruitful and I cannot express my appreciation for this in any other way. Loving thoughts for all involved and keep up the good work.

What a great message Suzanne! The inspiring comments and the sharing of healings experienced from individuals all over our world hint at the fact that Love is encircling the earth and its citizens. How great to feel at one with all those who share inspiration and to know that God is revealing the answer to whatever challenge one is facing!

Suzanne, this is just a superb way of describing how we should let God take control of our lives. From time to time, my son does just what you described - my wife and I ask him to help fix or adjust something on our lap tops and then we can watch the cursor traveling around as he goes to work, and he is in his own house, miles away. With all of the challenges that we encounter, how right it is to Let God Take Control. Thank you so very much for pointing this out so clearly.

What a super analogy! It surely is true and I appreciate the illustration. It is quite clear that we can 'let go and let God' just as we do with our computer tech help. Thanks.

"...turn the controls over to God, and let God control your life intelligently - step by step - with purpose, and with love" - what sweet release! For me, the hard part is just remembering to do it. Thank you, Suzanne, for your lovely thought and great analogy. They will help me remember!
And thanks to the DL team and to all those who respond - a wonderful, online workd community sharing in a feast of Love and inviting everyone, everywhere, to partake. Kudos for the well-deserved award of excellence. The DL often makes me feel like singing, dancing - and yes, clapping - in joy. :))

- 4/21/2010Thanks Suzanne.

- 4/21/2010I am so grateful for the great visual metaphor of the computer tech fixing my computer, watching that cursor move without my doing or interfering, and trusting that help...just as Love does constantly for each of us.

- 4/21/2010To let go of the control is the hardest thing to do, but it shouldn't be so if we think on God's motives -according to Mrs. Eddy's words, "Spirit, God, gathers unformed thoughts into their proper channels, and unfolds these thoughts, even as He opens the petals of a holy purpose in order that the purpose may appear." (S&H 506:18) His purpose is only good para sus hijos.

- 4/21/2010Congratulations, Your Daily Lift, on receiving the DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Internet Communications Award of Excellence from the Religion Communicators Council (US).
And trust!
Bea
- 4/21/2010What an excelent comparison.
And the impact becomes even clearer when I realize that when I let God take control I also let Life, Truth, Love, Principle, Spirit, Mind, Soul take control.
Thank you!
JK
- 4/21/2010Thank you so much, Suzanne!

- 4/21/2010I live in Singapore, and a friend of mine in Jakarta asked me if I could help find out a sister of her domestic worker, who worked in Singapore. Thank you!
Jenny DeVol, Sacramento, CA
- 4/21/2010A few years ago, I had this experience you mentioned with a tech from Dell who worked in India and had a wonderful accent, but it was a little hard for me to understand so I had to listen very carefully, and even ask him to repeat his instructions several times.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart," surrender all to our loving Father/Mother God.

I remember having this happen and I was so astonished and excited as I watched my "helper" do his work on our computer - and I had no doubt that the work being done was right and would help my situation - and it did. - 4/21/2010I love how we respond to our God's precious love and control over our lives. - 4/21/2010Its so easy to give over the control to someone when you know that their understanding is greater than yours - especially in the middle of a problem. . Thanks Suzanne for the wonderful metaphorical reminder to let go of the false concept of "self-control" and to let the Omnipotent have complete control. This message was particularly helpful this morning. I am thinking about who I can share this daily uplift with.....Thanks for blessing us withthis great thought.

- 4/21/2010This is such an excellent Lift, Suzanne.

- 4/21/2010TY Suzanne.

- 4/21/2010An excellent, intelligent idea, indeed.

- 4/21/2010One Million thanks, Suzanne, I have just forwarded this lift to the lecture committee of our church! It is exactly what we need as we start out on the plans for our next lecture. I am so grateful that none of us need be burdened with the "false landmarks" that never littered our past! We are free to act as God directs to bring the newness and freshness of NOW to our efforts!
I am left today without a plan, without a job, without direction. I feel myself scrambling, panicked, lost. I need to take this wonderful message from Suzanne and just stop, and listen. Thank you for your comforting thoughts today, I need them.

- 4/21/2010Thanks so much, Suzanne, for this wonderful reminder.

- 4/21/2010This was a wonderful lift.

- 4/21/2010Thank you, Suzanne, for that reassurance that is so appropriate to my current challenge of the last couple of weeks concerning a fractured ankle.

- 4/21/2010Is it wonderful that God is always in control and that we can let go of trying to do the controlling. We just need to trust God 's everpresents, the only power that control our day.

- 4/21/2010Thanks for the wonderful image of the computer control. I subscribe to a service like that, and absolutely love it. I have to trust the tech who is helping me --- he really knows his business. It is so with God, always --- we must be still and trust. And just love and appreciate and recognize the One in charge. Like our computer assistance, we have to keep our hands off of the mouse!

- 4/21/2010Thank you Suzanne for that great connection between trusting my computer to a remote tech support person and trusting my life to God.

- 4/21/2010Thankyou Suzanne. Letting go and letting God is one of the hardest things to do. We tend to be like a dog with a bone go back again and again to the challenge we are working on. Letting God be in control is such good re inforcement to thought. This is such a wonderful family we all belong to. It is heartwarming to read comments and I am sure the lovely Tien #4 has felt this too. Our thoughts and love are with you.

- 4/22/2010Grateful for your help, Suzanne, this message I pray will help with a physical (so-called) condition, too. God is in control of what he creates and there is no matter in all our ways. Thank you, Joyce Harrington

- 4/22/2010This is an outstanding set of comments, and I am so grateful to have seen it.

- 4/22/2010What a great message Suzanne! The inspiring comments and the sharing of healings experienced from individuals all over our world hint at the fact that Love is encircling the earth and its citizens. How great to feel at one with all those who share inspiration and to know that God is revealing the answer to whatever challenge one is facing!

- 4/22/2010Suzanne, this is just a superb way of describing how we should let God take control of our lives.

- 4/22/2010What a super analogy!
