Thank you Mark for this wonderful Lift. As an individual expression of God, man reflects all of the qualities inherent to the Divine Mind. In S&H Mary Baker Eddy includes this statement on page 475 in her definition of man,"that which has not a single quality underived from Deity;" Through our understanding of this we are able to express the dominion and freedom that is divinely ours, now and forever.

Mrs. Eddy gives, "Beloved Christian Scientists, keep your minds so filled with Truth and Love, that sin, disease and death cannot enter them. It is plain that nothing can be added to the mind already full. There is no door through which evil can enter, and no space for evil to fill in a mind filled with goodness." (The First Church of Christ Scientist and Miscellany, page 210.)

Thank you Mark for these reminders of what I consider to be one of most basic truths of Christian Science. Mrs Eddy tells us:

335:7-12 Spirit

Spirit, God, has created all in and of Him-
self. Spirit never created matter. There is nothing in


9 Spirit out of which matter could be made, The only
for, as the Bible declares, without the Logos, substance
the Aeon or Word of God, "was not anything made
12 that was made."

We can only produce an exact image in a mirror. Even our human image has no power to change and it would be pointless to try to change our mirrored image without changing ourselves.It cannot happen.

So why should I consider myself or others in need of repair if, as the Bible tells us;

Mal 3:6 I am (to ;)

6 I am the Lord, I change not;

What does not change is not in need of repair and thanks again Mark for telling us that this is true of us as the perfect image of our God.

I'm so grateful for practitioners like you who are always clear about your patients' spiritual identities. I think we need constant reminders of this great fact, when we are faced daily with suggestions to the contrary. As the perfect conception of God, I never actually need to be repaired. What a relief that is, since I would not know how to go about doing the repair work anyway.

Not long ago an acquaintance told me that god was a powerful man who lives in another planet, she said that someday she'll visit her god and become a god herself.
I was astonied, she was serious, our points of view were so different!

I too grew up thinking of a superhuman god that lives in the clouds and plays around with us as he pleases.
Life was uncertain.

Christian Science showed me God to be Spirit, and man Spirit's manifestation, His/Her's image and likeness. A God that is ALL MIND and cares infinitely about each one of us, His own expression.

When I began to study Christian Science decades ago, a dear friend, who was also a Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner, told me that there is no such thing as a non-practicing Christian Scientist. Wow! A religion that expects and encourages its members to be students, actually practicing Christ's Christianity, as each is led through scientific prayer! With every Bible Lesson, learning better and better how to apply God’s laws to every human circumstance and so to follow the example set by Jesus.

And we have been called to follow …

“Jesus saith … He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do …” (John 14)

What a calling it is!

Such freedom for thinkers, seekers of Truth, and spiritual pioneers to explore living within the one reality of the Truth of our being because Mrs. Eddy consecrated her life to seek, find, and prove God’s laws - and then to share her findings! How blessed to be among those, who have “enlisted” (S&H 450), by the very nature and structure of this religion, to be Christian Science student/practitioners – Journal-listed or not! Each life - a testimony to be shared.

I thank God/Mind for this intelligent way to prove “Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth” (Luke 11).

Many thanks Mark for this great reminder. Yes. We are all "100 % spiritual, completely perfect." "In Thee, O Spirit true and tender,/ I find my life as God's own child;/ Within Thy light of glorious splendor/ I lose the earth-clouds drear and wild." (Christian Science Hymnal #154).

To reveal it one MUST CLAIM, CLAIM, CLAIM that "one is a perfect spiritual child of God reflecting and expessing His infinite and perfect Love".

Measuring things from a physical standard leaves us way short. Perhaps we should change our mind! Oh, how appropriate… God is Mind.

I recall quite clearly a healing moment when I got a wake-up call regarding God as Life- all Life. I had been struggling and I realized that I might accept Life as meaning all-Life and skip thinking I had to know what that Life looked like. It was a genuine mental throwing up of the hands. A wave of freedom swept over me. I became very consciousness that whatever life is, it is already complete – and untouched by shadow shapes called human bodies. When healing follows these enlightened moments, it is impossible to deny that God , as Mind, is our Mind, making all the difference.

And - Hip Hip hurrah for all CS Practitioners who point us in the way!

I look at each of these Daily Lifts (I have saved close to 400 in a folder) as a mini Wednesday evening testimony meeting. The Lift itself is the reading for the service and the comments afterwards are the testimonies...I love them, I love them, I love them. You have certainly imbibed this understanding, Mark! I can tell that it comes from your Heart! How do we get these Truths out of our Heads - as just mental concepts - and move them more into our Hearts? The Golden Text for this week's C.S. Bible Lesson on Mind says to trust in God with our whole "Hearts" - it doesn't say with our "Heads". I think it is so easy for Human Beings to spout a lot of words and concepts of Truth, but if we're not living, imbibing it - as you are Mark, then it hasn't really moved into our Hearts. Turning to God, and not man, for all answers I search for, is an understanding I am seeking to reveal day by day. I feel if I can ask God for those answers that bring the total reflection which I am, into the light for me then I am gaining in my understanding .I get glimpses of this if I think of a darkened room, and a door behind which is total sunlight. If I crack open the door, tht crack illumines everything in the room to its true status..LIGHT. Commiting my way to God ,if I open the door and acknowledge no other mind but divine MIND that be acused or abused.

The rules of divine healing as you explain so clearly here and with such dedication to Truth , are basic to us all as we study each day. That gives me hope. The rules as you state are founded on that Spiritual fact and Law..that a perfect God, creates all of his children in His image and likeness. Therefore each offspring --all of us--- MUST be perfect and in tact. Wow !!!that brings the joyful dancing..and playful frolic like a deer in the woods here, as it leaps about in the spring on the fresh forest floor----reflecting this ONENESS this Truth here for me to grasp. SH page 63: In science man is the offspring of Spirit. The beautiful, good and pure constitue his ancestry. Spirit is his primitve and ultimate source of being. God is his father. Life is the law of his being" Thank you for the glory of this truth today! All of us here can frolic in the woods reflecting our true identity and then shining .

I loved the part about not having to "repair that which is at one with God". Knowing we are all the idea of the one Mind, God and there is no need to "fix" something or someone who reflects that one Mind is a comforting thought.

Mrs. Eddy informs us, "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." (S&H 463) We are that spiritual idea, not the embodiment of sickness, sin, and death. Those are but errors which Truth properly removes from our experience. Divine Spirit gives us the ability and strength to steadily and rejoicingly hold in thought our divine embodiment of every health-giving, joy-providing, and success-ensuring quality of Himself.

And Mrs. Eddy says elsewhere, "Holding the right idea of man in my mind, I can improve my own, and other people's individuality, health, and morals: whereas, the opposite image of man, a sinner, kept constantly in mind, can no more improve health or morals, than holding in thought the form of a boa constrictor can aid an artist in painting a landscape." (Miscellaneous Writings 62)
