What a wonderful Lift, Martha. I think every choir in the world must love to sing this choral piece, which was originally put to music for our Queen's 25th Anniversary. Now she has been on the throne for 60 years, so it will be interesting to see what precious gifts and endowments they shower her with to make it a suitable celebration. It's strange to me that all the announcers refer to her as "strong" and "solitary" and other terms for how they view someone in her position, but I've never heard anyone refer to her as "loving" or even "very loving". Yet her children and grandchildren do love her, very deeply. And so do so many of us who still prefer her to be where she is, rather than a fleeting figure of popular choice.
Just loved the music this week Nate and the team; many thanks always to the BoL and lecturers; and to our blest family of steadfast and loyal Lifters.

Bless you Martha, and thank you for presenting this message in an understandable way.
After pouring my heart out to a Practitioner in a distant city, He then poured in the truth for at least 5 minutes. Brushing back my tears, I inquired why doesn't God talk to me like that? His response was quick, strong, powerful, and memorable. "He just did".
I was receiving a blessing but was too wrapped up in my material problem, to realize the good at hand.
You have reminded me "Not to pick that apple", again.
with much love, and gratitude, and blessings,

Blessings to you, dear Martha! Thank you for the deeper meaning within the word and thought of blessing. Father/mother God is always blessing his children also when we sometimes are not sure of it or take it for granted. We in return bless our human fellow sometimes through listening or bringing a message guided through us from God. Blessings to all with much unconditional love and wishes for more peace in our world.

In the account of creation in Genesis 1, God created just about everything after its kind, but when it was our turn –man, the chosen one–we were created after God’s own image and likeness.
We would think that that was enough, right? But God crowned His creation by blessing us, commanding us to be fruitful, to multiply, to share His bounty.
Think of this next time you’re tempted to feel separated from God. http://bible.cc/genesis/1-22.htm

Thank you - a lovely blessing for us all. I looked up blessing myself and found a lot of definitions referring to happiness, so I looked up happiness. Among the definitions are: enjoying pleasure from the possession or fruition of good; in secure possession of good; well adapted to a purpose; living in concord. How wonderful to know that all of these definitions apply to us as God's precious offspring - we are indeed blessed.

One of my favorite quotes from Mrs Eddy is in Pulpit and Press, page 10. "Divine presence, breathe Thou Thy blessing on every heart in this house." How effortless it is to accept His blessings, breathe in, and to share them, breathe out. I use this at home, at work and everywhere I go. Take a deep breathe of blessings!

Many thanks Martha for reminding us that: "To be blessed by God [divine Love] enables us to be a blessing to others." We can now see that the word 'bless' as used in the Holy Bible can have two very different meanings, such as to consecrate, or declare sacred and purify. such as in the Beatitudes, or with the 'loaves and the fishes'." "Our humble hearts receive the blessed token/ Of Truth that guides us in the upward way./ O Father, feed us with Thy bread from heaven,..." (Christian Science Hymnal Supplement #450).

Several years ago, shortly after my first husband died, Elton John's beautiful song "Blessed" was Number One on the charts. Its sweet message of "you'll be blessed" gave me comfort and strength during that challenging time, reminding me, as you point out, that God is always blessing each one of us with His goodness and care. I have been working with a friend on what has turned out to be a rather difficult freelance project. Yesterday I awoke and got the inspired idea that my job was to do what it takes to get this done and make sure it is useful to the customer. I received a message from my friend that I was "a real blessing". I was a little surprised by the comment (although I guess I shouldn't have been). I got a similar email today. Now hearing your Daily Lift, I understand how this was seen as a blessing and how it occurred Thanks for this beautiful message.

Thank you, dear Martha, for this expansion of the divine blessings we all have from dear Father-Mother, as made in His image. Thank you, Martha. Just thinking this morning that everyone is receiving infinite income of inspiration from our Father-Mother. Now this wonderful message that reminds me that what we receive is a blessing. I love the idea that Abraham was pronounced to be a blessing. So, if it's true of Abraham it's true of all of us. And while we are blessing we cannot do anything or think anything that is not a blessing. Forgiveness is right there in our blessing, and everyone elses' blessing. I love the idea that others are forgivng me as I'm forgiving them. Another idea, one that is stirred up in thought by our lesson on Soul, is that we can certainly have compassion for those who struggle like Jacob, and for those who have apparently wandered off, like the one sheep. If we have struggled or wandered, we can forgive ourselves too. I can see in my mind that one sheep just dancing around after he/she is brought back, just blessing all the other sheep as well as the shepherd. Happy, Happy, Happy!!
What a great blessing is over all of us all over this wonderful world.

Thank you, Martha, Mrs. Eddy says the Beatitudes (found in Matt. 5) lived could change the world. In Mis. Writings, page 82, she states. " Man is the offspring and idea of the Supreme Being, whose law is perfect and infinite. In obedience to this law, man is unfolding the endless beatitudes of Being; for he is the image and likeness of Life, Truth, and Love. I am grateful for all the inspiring comments.

It is all about the One Who blesses, the blessed, and the blessing (active verb and noun), therefore, it helps me when facing disappointments or fears, to open my thought to learn "Lord, what are Your lessons and blessin's in this?" That receptivity reminds me of past good I couldn't have foreseen, and makes me more able to seek, see, and receive, then share these.

Would any of the Lifters like to keep on blessing us by translating comments for those [particularly, it seems, in the UK] who are not multi-lingual? Although I can read certain languages, Googled translations of the others are somewhat lacking. The English education system here has been decreasing the teaching of languages other than our own. What a beautiful lift today. Thank you so much, Martha. The quote from Mrs. Eddy's Pulpit & Press, quoted by #21 is a favorite in our family. My mother, a lifelong Christian Scientist, always used it as a blessing before a family meal so it has always had special meaning. When our family gathered for Thanksgiving this past year, I offered it as one of the blessings and our children, now all grown with families of their own, remembered their Grandmother used it so many times, and wanted to know where it was from. None of them are practicing Christian Scientists although all were raised in the Christian Science Sunday School. I was more than happy to share with them the source. I am so grateful to know that they are all showered with God's blessings every single day. Blessings to all the Daily Lifters and everyone who makes this Daily Lift possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

A new blessing from this lift! As i listened today, I saw that the family member I was having problems with is also a blessing! This individual is an expression of "the effective activity of pronouncing and bringing about good for others" (including me), and divine Love is causing and enabling her to be a blessing. So I only need to bear witness to this! I found this passage from the Bible, when God speaks to Balaam, and tells him to speak this thought to Balak: "Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it, He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel; (Numbers 23:20,20).

How effortless it is to accept His blessings, breathe in, and to share them, breathe out. I use this at home, at work and everywhere I go. Take a deep breathe of blessings!

- 2/10/2012Many thanks Martha for reminding us that: "To be blessed by God [divine Love] enables us to be a blessing to others." We can now see that the word 'bless' as used in the Holy Bible can have two very different meanings, such as to consecrate, or declare sacred and purify. such as in the Beatitudes, or with the 'loaves and the fishes'." "Our humble hearts receive the blessed token/ Of Truth that guides us in the upward way./ O Father, feed us with Thy bread from heaven,..." (Christian Science Hymnal Supplement #450).

- 2/10/2012Thank you, Martha, for giving us this beautiful blessing. A simple quote I found somewhere when I was feeling why am I here is, "I have something useful to give, and I am here to give it." I am blessed and can bless all who my thoughts rest upon.

- 2/10/2012Thank you Martha! Blessing people - whom you meet or talk to during the day makes folks remember their own blessings kwhich the good Lord has brought to bear upon their lives - in homes, in their work in various houses as servants, where she or she does allthe household chores and goes home satisfied and content.
In blessings you are blessed in ways without measure. Many thaks again.

- 2/10/2012Several years ago, shortly after my first husband died, Elton John's beautiful song "Blessed" was Number One on the charts. Its sweet message of "you'll be blessed" gave me comfort and strength during that challenging time, reminding me, as you point out, that God is always blessing each one of us with His goodness and care. This spiritual fact is powerful and life-transforming! Thank you, Martha, for your comments in today's DL. May God bless and keep you!

- 2/10/2012I have been working with a friend on what has turned out to be a rather difficult freelance project.

- 2/10/2012who is your father or mother or brother or sister? who does not do the will of God? Only those who follow God are and the source of all is God who is the father-mother-brother-sister etc for all who gives the blessing not your human father or mother blessing is need.

- 2/10/2012Thank you, dear Martha, for this expansion of the divine blessings we all have from dear Father-Mother, as made in His image. I love the idea of strength in blessings...one is not just helping someone who to human sense "needs" help, but one is loving, helping, and acknowledging the dear one's strength that they can feel and express by this pure blessing thought. Thank you, Uncle John #4 for that reminder. I read it once before and forgot it!! I'm glad you have given it to us again. I won't forget it again! That is so true!

- 2/10/2012Thank you, Martha.

- 2/10/2012Good morning to all and many thanks to Martha for this morning blessing. It is lovely how Genesis starts off the Bible with such a blessing and the other books continue with many of the same thoughts. I love looking up the meanings of various words, especially in the original Hebrew or Greek to get new thoughts about words we read every day.
Thanks again. Keep the Lifts coming.

- 2/10/2012Thanks so much, Martha. Just what I needed to hear, as I was working to overcome a sense of burden and criticism on my volunteer efforts to help others. If I focus on reflecting God's blessing, the false sense will disappear as its nothingness becomes evident to me.

- 2/10/2012Thank you, Martha, Mrs.

- 2/10/2012I love hearing this blessing sung at Upper School's graduation each year, and it never fails to bring tears of joy. But your explanation deepened my understanding of the power of those words and the constant connection we have with God's blessing by decree. Thank you for your comforting voice, as well. Blessings to ALL!

- 2/11/2012It is all about the One Who blesses, the blessed, and the blessing (active verb and noun), therefore, it helps me when facing disappointments or fears, to open my thought to learn "Lord, what are Your lessons and blessin's in this?" That receptivity reminds me of past good I couldn't have foreseen, and makes me more able to seek, see, and receive, then share these.

- 2/11/2012Thanks Martha. This spiritual message is a pure blessing. Christian Science is the blessing discovered by Mary Baker Eddy. This discovery, based entirely on spiritual understanding, is what Christ Jesus taught and practiced. He knew that divine Love, God, is the only reality. Thanks again Martha, for reminding me that all blessings really emanate from God and God alone.

Gracias Martha.

- 2/11/2012Would any of the Lifters like to keep on blessing us by translating comments for those [particularly, it seems, in the UK] who are not multi-lingual? Although I can read certain languages, Googled translations of the others are somewhat lacking. The English education system here has been decreasing the teaching of languages other than our own. We need to keep our thinking open, in every respect - forgive us, folks elsewhere in the world.

- 2/12/2012What a beautiful lift today.

- 3/24/2012A new blessing from this lift!
Than you for blessing all of us with this lift!
