Thank you Kari for this beautiful Lift and for your continued good work. When I thing of Christ Jesus I think of the spiritual qualities that allowed him to so fully express the will of His Father: purity of thought and action, meekness (receptiveness to all that is good, and strength (to rely fully and completely on God). These qualities prove the eternality of the Christ and make the works that Jesus did possible today. As Mary Baker Eddy says in S&H page 37, "It is possible,-yea, it is the duty and privilege of every child, man, and woman,-to follow in some degree the example of the Master by the demonstration of Truth and Life, of health and holiness." Thus, we can apply Mrs. Eddy's statement, "This task God demands us to accept lovingly to-day,.." Thank you again and Merry Christmas.

It gave Jesus the authority to say, "call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." (Matt)

In James we read about God's gifts: "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

God's gift to His children, embodied by our dear savior, Jesus Christ, was this very message, which Jesus taught, preached, and demonstrated. He showed us that every relationship is with God, every man, woman and child is a child of God. Jesus came from God, walked in God, and went to God.

What a gift!!

As Mrs Eddy says, “It lifts the veil of mystery from Soul and body.” and, “Divine Science rolls back the clouds of error with the light of Truth, and lifts the curtain on man as never born and as never dying, but as coexistent with his
Creator."

I like that . Thank you and Merry Christmas. All are sleeping in my household. The lights on the tree are blinking and little gifts waiting. The stockings are full and refrigerator filled with lots of surprises to be cooked and enjoyed today. I am very grateful for this life, for my children, my large family and especially for this inspirational Daily Lift family. THe lifts make profound and deep thinking easily doable each day. I appreciate these prompts towards deeper, quiet searching. And we have the voices of lovely seekers around the world who write in and share their depths of thoughts based on many years of spiritual study and prayer. Thank you Daily Lift community for showing up each day and contributing as you do and have. It helps me so much to have this human voice to enliven and broaden my thinking. I love the books and their teachings but I must say that this Daily Lift community helps me to bring it all home. The greatest hope for mankind is the revelation of the Christ Science received by Mary Baker Eddy. That no matter how hard this mortal experience is, there is a law of God that annules it's terrible effect such as the recent killings of innocent children in Connecticut. This law must be understood, so that what happened in Newton, should never happen again, and good will to men shall be the law of the day.

Blest Christmas morn! Yes, what a blessing is God's gift to the world and to us all, of the Christ, Truth revealed through Christian Science. And what a powerful reminder this Lift is that whatever dark pictures are painted around us, of fear or tragedy or violence [such as occurred yesterday in my own neighborhood], it is a great comfort to know that our only purpose here on planet Earth is to love and glorify God, and to love one another---without judgment, without agenda, without reservation---the love of Christ that saw through the veil of sin, sickness and death, and beheld God's beloved perfect man. God bless all seekers of good, and especially today in my heart is the unselfed love of first responders.

Thank you so much for the gift of understanding the words brought to me this morning. I was feeling a little sad because my cat wasn't well, even though I'd been praying for her for some time. Then Kali's words and one of the comments showed me the light I needed to see.
Due to the way this cat had come to me, I'd always thought of her as God's special gift to me and the quote from James about every good gift and every perfect gift being from the Father of lights in whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning, broke the mesmerism. I immediately realized that her life could never been interupted, turned or changed in any way and that she is still the same beautiful, loving little pet that she has always been. I am so gratful for these inspired ideas that came to me through the Daily Lift on this Christmas Day!
