while traveling abroad recently I´ve found this thoughtful statement on a card, traveling/realizing:

"Happiness is not a state to arrive at, but a manner of traveling"

Thank you Jon for your explanation of this important spiritual concept. Mortal mind tries to tell us that our life is a journey made up of a yesterday, a today, and a tomorrow. In other words a beginning and an end. Christian Science tells us that our journey is one of spiritual unfoldment going on continuously, without interruption or end. When we look at the word "journey" we find included in it are the letters that form the word "joy". When we see our journey as uninterrupted good, we cant help but find that our journey is filled with everlasting joy.

How subtle is the suggestion that we accept any discord as real and then try to heal it. This is a very helpful reminder to me this morning to begin with perfect God, perfect man, as we are taught in CS, and work out from that standpoint. Thank you for this healing message, and many thanks to all the lifters which elaborate on the themes of the Daily Lift and unite us all in one spiritual consciousness of God's goodness and infinite love for us all.

Thank you Jon for this powerful awakening this morning ,particularly for those of us who seem to be struggling with longstanding and unyeilding problems . Indeed we are perfect right here ,right now "even as our heavenly father is perfect."

Thank you, Jon, for a really good reminder and overview of our spiritual status as the sons and daughters of God, right now.

We hear each Sunday "Beloved, now are we the sons of God... And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." (I John, Chapter 3). Having this view, actively holding this hope in thought, enables man to purify himself, even as he is, and always has been, pure.

Awakening to purity, while always having been beheld that way by God, is not a destination, but a realization of God's forever authorship, and maintenance of His idea, man. As Christ is pure, so the activity of applying the Christ idea with its spiritual light to the human condition, always brings healing and a clear return to that status never really left.

Jon, thank you again for an outstanding Daily Lift!

Jon, thank you so much, and what a perfect Lift! I got it when you told us at Wynnum, to get outside a material way of thinking, and realize what is already going on, And now today you are again telling us that our journey is the awakening to our real spiritual identity! O yes, and don't we so want to see and real-ize our true story! I was thinking about the bicycle touring as an answer to a desire for adventure, but the greatest adventure of all is to pray for those in so-called trouble-spots.
Thank you Nate and the production team; the Board of Lectureship and the lecturers; and the constant compassion and support from the Daily Lifters.

You know, horses love to be “home”. If you don’t pay attention while riding in the countryside, they will deliver you back home in a flash. I remember riding a fancy horse in Florida on a trail ride and when he saw a cow, panicked and decided it was high time to fly back home. He was unstoppable, but I managed to turn him directly away from home…. he froze in his tracks as he discovered he was facing the wrong direction. We calmed down and moved along smoothly.

What has this to do with anything? Well, two things… don’t panic if you see a cow and if you are facing the wrong direction, calm down. Once we handle these things, we begin to experience the largest sense of home, home on the trail.

Well, that’s as deep as it goes today! Thanks Jon for the most important message and giving it in such a loving manner.

Thank you, Jon, for “Going somewhere vs. being there … being already where we want to go … forever one with God … our journey is waking to an existence already ours … now …” This is a great reminder. Years ago, a dear Christian Science friend, stood up to give a testimony one Wednesday evening. She experienced a wonderful healing, as it had been revealed to her through prayer, to work “out from” perfection rather than “up to” perfection. Wow! It was both a wake-up call and turning point for me. Healing – immediate healings! – have happened with the realization that no healing is necessary. Being already where I want to go. So, all I need to do is BE there. All is well. Really. Just yield to the Truth of being.

Beautiful "lift, Jon. Thank you. No where to go. Already where each of us belong: our individual station with God, divine love. That is where one will best view and experience the unfoldment of the petals of the holy purpose at His time. Some years ago I had pain in my back to the point I was no longer able to tolerate its weariness. I wanted to move to a more comfortable chair, but I was unable to lower myself from a standing position, even with help from others. I prayed to know more of man's already perfect selfhood and accordingly denied any opposing claim of man's mortality. Instantaneously, all restrictions that seemed to be, removed. I was totally free. As with #28, Nancy's horse, I was the horse that discovered I had been headed in the wrong direction and only needed to be turned around.

Thank you so much, Jon! How powerful is the Love that holds us in the eternal NOW ~ you convey that so lovingly. This is just the inspiration I need! So many throughout the world are blessed by this important message! Much love & gratitude to this family of Lifters.

My eyes set upon comment #3 by Martin Vesely where he finds in the word journey, the word Joy. Thinking about this made me understand better the joyful journey that I made through all the solving of problems of life, that when looked upon wasn't so terrible. It's the realization that God is with me and everyone as we go through this material life, so to speak, to the unfoldment of how wonderful God's creation really is, problems and triumphant all. What a blessing to put to test that "All things work together for good to them who love God." Romans 8:28

Re-Minds me of another powerful lift recently that speaks of unfoldment vs accretion....that the supply for all our needs is already present and included in our being--just waiting for our acknowledgment and awakening to its present reality!! We are NOW perfect and complete and fulfilled in God just possibly temporarily distracted by the illusions of lack and discontent. Arise and Awaken All!!

Grateful for the Daily Lifts and all the comments

After receiving a message that a dear aquaintance of mine's "mother is in heaven now", I had responded with a human consoling that This was her birth into the next step of her journey of everlasting Life. So timely, then, was your lift, Jon, where what seems a journey from here to there is actually an awakening to what Jesus said is already at hand - the Kingdom of God, where there is no birth or decay or death. How helpful to hear that when we acknowledge there is "no distance still to travel...that our arrival at a heavenly-conscious-knowing-state-of-being is ASSURED," and "nothing can take God's child out of his hand as he beholds our perfect likeness already," our thoughts are awakened to our spiritual existence (experience) of Life in God.

I'm so grateful to be able know that my friend's mother (along with hearing that Victoria #77, as a newly returned student of Christian Science), is finding her journey complete as being joyfully returning back home and knowing she's already where she wants to go, hand-in-hand with our heavenly Father-Mother.
