10/5: Put it in God's inbox

10/5: Put it in God's inbox

  1. Love this! Thank you!!

  2. When problems seem to overwhelm us is good to remember Job’s assurance, “For he performs the thing that is appointed for me” Job 23:14
Yes, my prayers are heard, “Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear” Isaiah 65:24

I learned that not getting what I wanted didn’t mean that God didn’t hear me, but that I still have a lot to learn. “…for I shall yet praise him” Psalm 43:5

"... Porque aún he de alabarle" Salmo 43:5

  3. Thank you Maryl for this Lift.…

I sat down w my taxes yesterday, and w God, they flowed more easily than ever!.…and that truly is the case with any activity with which I "sit down" w God, it flows harmoniously and joyously.….

  4. Maryl, thank you so much for this very practical and comforting Lift. I would like to thank all of the C/S Lecturers and people associated with these daily healing messages. To all of you, I say as we come to the table for spiritual nourishment and renewal, you have prepared for us a Feast!

  5. DeLIGHTfully enLIGHTed thinking. Thank you very much, Maryl

  6. Bonjour Maryl

Wonderful this is perfect! I heard one time in a lecture sorry can't remembre the author :"If you want to make God laughs, tell Him your plan"
It's so important to "LET GO LET GOD"

    Merci beaucoup again

Have a great INBOX GOD DAY

  7. Any time we become overwhelmed, which in today's world, seems to be a frequent occurrence, we can use the lovely, but strong idea to "Put it in God's inbox"- trusting that divine Love is taking care of every event in our lives. We just need to be active witnesses with grateful hearts. Thank you, Maryl, for putting this idea 'front and center' for all to see, and do!

  8. Apostle Paul writes, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4;8 & 9; and also Miscellaneous Writings, page 128, by Mary Baker Eddy.) Sometimes I have waited for several or more days to hear from a practitioner, sometimes I have had my needs met before hearing back from a practitioner, but always "the God of peace" is with us. Thank you for your spiritual message of loaves and fishes to feed the multitude right where we are, and even more to think about afterwards. It is working for me.

  9. Many thanks Maryl for this morning light of inspiration. Yes. "God [divine Love] is in charge of our day." "Arise, arise and shine,/ On thee hath dawned the day;/ God is thy sun, and Christ thy light,/ Be thou a steadfast ray. (Christian Science Hymnal #14).

  10. Quite often when I have felt pressurized with so many things to achieve, I realize afterwards that everything HAD been achieved regardless of my feelings of being pressurized. I don't need the pressures if I put it all in God's inbox - the pressurized feelings don't come from God, and they don't help, and I can drop them and rejoice in God's wonderful works. He is performing everything for us all the time, and I can feel confident in this. This is something I need to be aware of at all times.

Thank you for this important reminder. I look forward to hearing all the other comments. As ever, they are really helpful.

  11. YES ! Thank you!

  12. Maryl...great to hear your message reminding me who's in charge..that divine Love is performing what Loves appointed for me to do each and every moment...this makes is so easy to say...ok Father what wonderful things do you have for me today...it's wonderful to hear your voice

  13. Thanks, Maryl! What a wonderful place to put all our concerns--in God's inbox. I've also been reminded to delete-delete-delete anything in my inbox not from God!

  14. Dear Maryl, Many thanks Just the reminder I needed for today!

  15. Wonderful - using God`s inbox!

I love to do research on God`s outbox! It´s always with us!

  16. Thank you Maryl,
It is always so amazingly wonderful to me the way each daily lift is what I need to hear, but this one really meets my need for the load of false responsibility was really a heavy load!

  17. Thanks you so much! So what I needed to hear this morning :-)

  18. I love that citation from Job! I looked up the meaning of perform when I first came across it, Perform: see through to completion. There is not a thing we need to do to 'perform what has been appointed'. It is already done and it is perfect! What love our Father/Mother bestows on us! Thank you Shari in MI for that reminder to also delete anything NOT from God! Much love to all!

  19. Thank you! I LOVED IT!

  20. Thank you. This is just what is needed and many thanks to all the Lifters.. Have a great weekend..

  21. Thank you Maryl! This is a perfect reminder for me today. Thank you all for your comments and thanks to the Daily Lift team. I love being a part of this world wide family! Love to all

  22. thank you maryl

  23. Hi Maryl,

I loved your concept of "knee-mail" where you have given, on bended knee, everything to God. This unbreakable, clearly defined, and divinely ordered attachment is a great tool for your in-box to become permanently linked to God's inbox.

Thanks for another great lift, Maryl.

  24. Action and communication as going out from God - brings peace.

  25. Maryl, thank you for this message about being on our mental knees and reading our knee-mails. Sweet. Thank you for the reminder to turn over responsibility to the One who is capable and responsive.

  26. Thank you Maryl. What a lovely thought to deal with the inbox that I perceive a total nightmare after having been away. I will take your advice for future and let Him perform the thing that is appointed for me. Much love.

  27. You are the best!!! What a great, practical message! Thank you so much!

  28. Wonderful message. Thanks so much.

  30. Thy will be done, not mine . . . Today ,tomorrow, and always . . . No matter what the human appearance may look like or how it may show up , I need only remember . . . " I can't , God can and I'm going to Let. Him." Thanks for the reminder Meryl to put all our earthly concerns in God' s heavenly inbox.

  31. Thank you, Maryland! Brilliant lift!

  32. Really helpful thoughts--thanks!

  33. Thanks so much Maryl for just the thought I needed this morning after awakening at 2 AM concerned about an unfinished project and couldn't get back to sleep. Now I'll put in in God's In Box. I also like what JD in Texas said about perform "to see to completion."

  34. All the truths you stated so true! However, there is one item in the In-box I always open first and that is the Daily Lift. Such a blessing! Thank you.

  35. Thank you for a Lift that so perfectly meets my need today and many other days. I am so grateful for the Daily Lifts and they always bring healing thoughts and comments.
    Merete.

  36. Praying before I even got out of bed was to thank God for his ever presence of good in my day. S/He is definitely in my 'inbox' allowing me to listen and be lead to follow Christ Jesus' example of seeing all as God created and sees his creation. We are all free to be precious ideas in harmony with each other. Thank you Maryl for this inspiring lift to start our day.

I love reading all the comments that lift out of the pure love they are written. Thank you all.

  37. There is a series of photos floating around the internet that shows the efforts that cats go to to get into a box. Judging by their relaxed look, they have found bliss. Their parts don't always fit in the box, but they are practically smiling to be there. There are some days when I should put a few things in God's inbox, for sure, but there are some days that I should just crawl in, even if I have to leave a few parts out.

Thank you Maryl, for reminding us to use God's inbox! Have a great weekend all.

  38. Alan - 10/5/12
Thank you Maryl! This is terrific. I become more aware that the complex and simultaneous demanding academic and musical commitments that have been "on my plate" regularly, are being successfully achieved with less seeming personal effort. Then I know that I am working to follow God's leading and perform what is required even from hour to hour, without stress or problems.

  39. Thank you that made my eyes water . I needed to hear that. Have a good day

  40. Thank you...so comforting to know that God is only a prayer away.

  41. Thank you.

  42. "God is only a prayer away." Love it! Thank you for this inspiring lift.

  43. ditto to No.4's comment, thank you

  44. After 20 years of living on a farm, being "my own boss" I recently took a job in an office. Yesterday, I had an awful day there. Much of it because I had such a difficult time remembering what should go where! What a perfect lift for me! I head off to work today, armed with renewed strength to "perform what is appointed" of me. Thanks so much Maryl.

  45. Thank you Maryl. A good reminder as I begin my day.

  46. This is a message I need to hear all the time! Thanks for the citations and all the uplifting comments!
    Thanks Meryl

  47. Thank you so much for this wonderful lift Maryl. For me it is the perfect answer for today. My work tends to ebb and flow and yesterday several projects came all at once. I felt a little overwhelmed, which is so silly. An inbox is such a great analogy and the passage you quoted from Job, was so perfect. Letting God do the work that is appointed to me is so much better and easier. I'll turn my mind over to God, get down on my mental knees as you said and let him guide me. God always puts the right solution to every "apparent" problem. As #18 JD in Texas said--what has been appointed is already done and perfect! So much to be grateful for!!

Thanks to all for your insights.

  48. This is just wonderful! When I awoke this morning, before I got up, the thought in my mental "inbox" was to check into the status of some legal documentation that may not be "finished." I had such a sense of God's presence and control and was so grateful for the message. Then I realized that I didn't have a corner on that market, that God, infinite Mind, Intelligence, has the same exact relationship with each and every one of His/Her ideas. What a great feeling! So, to find this particular message from our Daily Lift confirming what I had "received" is just great! Thank you!

  49. Thank you for his lovely message, Maryl! Humility is the great facilitator in demonstrating God's grace and power in all the details of daily life. “Before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24) is a prayer that I love, and whose truth I have seen demonstrated over and over again. And I also love what Mary Baker Eddy says, "You have simply to preserve a scientific, positive sense of unity with your divine source, and daily demonstrate this. Then you will find that one is as important a factor as duodecillions in being and doing right, and thus demonstrating deific Principle" (Pulpit and Press 4:9-14).

  50. Awesome message... thank you so much!

  51. I agree with Martin (comment #4). I, too, very much appreciate all that the lecturers and others connected with this Daily Lift do to give us an inspiring message to take with us throughout the day.

  52. Excellent message Maryl. A concept all of us can relate to everyday.
    Thank you.

  53. Thank you, dear Maryl.
Your timing couldn't have been more perfect
... and your message more freeing.

  54. I'm going to listen and read "knees mail" today. Only a prayer away! Thank you!

  55. It is so wonderful to know who is in control and that we need not be overwhelmed!

    Thank you for this lift.

  56. I love the Bible quote you used Maryl. I was reminded that divine Mind is always communicating to us, helping us and showing us how to think, how to act and what to do. Our part is to be still and quietly turn with a humble thought, empty of our own rhetoric and listen. When I do this I always "get over it" -- I get new direction and a calming, definite answer.

  57. Thank you, Maryl and Daily Lift Team and comment community. This was a very healing message for me today. Some decisions were weighing heavily on my mind and now I have put them in "God's inbox!" Hymn # 49 came to mind "Take from us now the strain and stress, and let our ordered lives confess the beauty of Thy peace." and hymn #124 "I drop my burden at His feet, and bear a song away." Thank you so much for these wonderful Lifts with such clear, helpful reminders of Truth that encourage, comfort and tenderly correct. Love, Tracy

  58. I Oh, I had wanted to also mention that #37 Nancy made me laugh with her mention of cat in boxes!!!!

  59. As usual, the Daily Lift is telling me what I should do today. It comes when ever I have a problem or a worry, as I have now, to "Put it in God's in-box." and have God take care of it. I have plenty of time. A loved one plans to visit a foreign country to meet a man, who she found on one of the popular websites. Of course I was dead set against it, a stranger in a strange land, in a country that was close to Afganistan. Well, as I have done before and it came out well, this too will come out well as I let mortal fear go and leave it in God's in-box.

  60. Thanks for this sweet Lift. My grandmother used to say "Man plans and God laughs"
Thanks again. Flo Wells ,Atlanta, Ga.

  61. Thank you so much, Maryl, for such an excellent message. I loved everything you said and one thing really stood out to me : " Our link to the Divine intelligence never breaks down.............. " I will listen to your lift many times today. To you and to all of the outstanding people providing these daily inspirations, I am truly grateful.

  62. "Arise and shine, for the Spirit of the Lord is upon you". "Cast all your cares on the Lord, for he careth for you." I am new to the Daily Lifts and look forward to them every morning. This is God's inbox. Thank you so much...love and peace to all.

  63. Thank you Meryl for reminding me to "Let Go and Let God" This is Thanksgiving Weekend in Canada, and many of my fellow Canadian Lifters will be "BUSY" Shopping, cleaning ,Cooking etc. in preparation for the Thanksgiving family feast. What a comforting thought that there need not be any pressure, With God doing the directing, all is harmonious and perfect. Happy Thanksgiving To All. Dee

  64. Thank you, Maryl, for “Put it in God’s inbox … 'let Me be in charge of your day today' … my ‘knee-mails’ are always answered … ‘God performs what is appointed for me’ … God is only a prayer away …” And - 24/7! I love “knee-mails!” Just perfect. Thanks again, Maryl.

  65. Thank you, Maryl, and thank you all the Daily Lifters, and thank you to Nate and the team behind all this. I was up past midnight last night trying to get an audit completed and woke up exhausted with the concerns. This is perfect to correct all thoughts of it being 'my' job and that someone had not being doing 'their' job as well as they should have. Now to get to my 'knee mail' and see it all correctly. Again, many thanks

  66. Haha, Maryl, great analogy to shift supposed email load to God's INBOX. And there should be a great SPAM filter there too, sifting tares from wheat, don't you think?

  67. Rhanks Maryl.....good thoughts....

  68. Hi Meryl! Thanks for this lift! I wish I had had this yesterday, since I was trying to learn a new knitting stitch which eluded me. I should have known to ask God for help! However, I persisted and persisted and finally got it. "Persistence wins the prize." Now that's a promise! I will remember to ask God for help, actually, I usually do, but sometimes little me plunges ahead on my own. I will pause and ask, pause and ask!

  69. Thanks to Maryl and Lifters for today's message. Thanks to #16 for reminding me that I need to get rid of the false sense of responsibility and accept God's direction. Thanks to #4 who has the same last name as I do.

  70. Thank you so much Maryl.

  71. Such a good thought for these busy times. I love the idea of "knee mail." Truly, God is with us, caring for us, -and realizing that is "just a prayer away."

  72. enjoyed this! thank you, Maryl

  73. Oh, I'm so grateful. I'm off on a necessary trip today and feel like I'm leaving someone who has been struggling. This message has freed me to go with grace.

  74. Hi Maryl, Perfectly expressed! Wonderful for all our activities. Hugs to you...

  75. Thank you Maryl, God's knee-mail address The Lord's Prayer.

  76. I appreciate this so much! "Knee-mails are always answered!" I love the line from My 197:4 "Attempt nothing without God's help!" I had that on a sticky note over my computer for about 2 years! Wish I always followed it. Thank you, Maryl, for this perfect message.

  77. Thanks so much , for this wonderful lift, sometimes I feel I have to much time some days, and then will I have enought time to do what I have to do, Your lift is so helpful with that,

  78. WHAT A WONDERFUL MESSAGE MARYL. LOVED THE SUPPORTING BIBLE CITATIONS. THANKS

  79. Wonderful message, Maryl - so helpful!

  80. Glad you were in MY inbox today, Maryl! Great lift!

  81. Just what I needed and I love that verse from Isaiah. Thank you.

  82. Good message to always remember!!!! Thank you, Maryl
My love to all my "Daily Lift family"
    Happy weekend :-)

  83. Maryl, God, only a prayer away. Thanks. Truely helpful. Lovely music this week Nate. AND thanks to your team. Thanks to everyone who shares.

  84. Than you Marlyl for the great liftl
to listen for GOD's perfect plan
for ALL of OUR DAILY activities
    what BLISS!

  85. Thanks so much...to Maryl and all the dear contributors...all one family, we!

  86. This is so very practical! Thank you for a great lift!

  87. That was a vital and appropriate reminder that will resonate! I loved your message from God, and have taken it to heart. And I'm grateful to have heard it earlier this morning when a series of unexpected events, including the first snowfall, put all my plans on hold. God's plans are so much better, surprising and complete -- with a twinkle.

  88. Maryl, what an uplift! Thank you, especially for the last idea you shared that the moment a suggestion of being overwhelmed appears, immediately realize our perfect All-seeing, All-knowing, All-loving Father-Mother Mind is here now. Just a prayer away!

  89. Instantaneous healing while listening to this Daily Lift. My daughter picked up her camera (red), to pack for our 3 day weekend. Twice she had been prompted to move it from the dining room where it sat earlier in the day. While she was late in moving it, she had moved it, but NOW it was not to be found. As she said the words, I have to "think" I listened to Maryl's lift, knowing that she was hearing God speak, right then.

The words, " I found it" were immediate. The camera was right where it was hiding, in her room. Two twin beds touching each other, had hidden the camera between them. But when she really listened, immediately it was revealed, unhidden, useful, and safe.

What do I have to be grateful for? God speaking to me, my daughter, and us both unsnarling the tangles that might keep us from his message, Love, and total care. God's
    "in-box" is NEVER full.

  90. Loved that e-mail...thank you Maryl and all...

  91. THANK YOU!

  92. A perfect lift...Thank you Maryl and all.

  93. This Kneemail idea is great! And I will put things in God's box. Love these thoughts. Ann Botts, Banning, CA

  94. What a precious message - much needed by all who feel the pressure of overload - Thank you for expressing these promises so well and in so few words - masterfully done!

  95. Always letting yourself get out of the way clears the path. Lovely message!

  96. Thank you so much. It was just what I needed to hear. I sat with tears in my eyes as I need God's input on a very important issue. This was perfect.

  97. Thank you, Maryl and all the Lifter family for such great thoughts. I have recently been trying to get household goods moved and settled into our home after moving within the last few months. At times, it seems so overwhelming, and the suggestion of fatique and depression with SO much to do wants to take over. I have been praying each day for direction and strength and each night to give thanks for the progress made. There are some days when I have lofty goals that I don't come anywhere near to completing, but these are demands I am putting on myself - they are not God's demands. I am trying to remember that I can just go with the daily flow of "letting go and letting God" and knowing that the work will be complete in due time. There really isn't any timeline that I have to meet except for my own personal desire to be settled - pressure I am putting on myself. I think it is better to go forward with joyful expectation and be grateful at the end of each day for God's daily inspiration and help! I can of my own self do nothing, but with His help, all things - big or small - are possible.

  98. Oh my goodness! This was exactly the angel I needed today. I couldn't be more grateful.

  99. Meryl, Thank you for a very helpful lift

  100. What a simple solution, Maryl! Thanks! It's been with us all along, but it took you to bring it to my attention. Using my caps, starting with Gen. 1, "IN the beginning, God...."; Acts 17:28, "IN Him we live, and move, and have our being"; Ps. 91, "He that dwelleth IN the secret place of the Most High" and " IN Him will I trust."; John 1:4, "IN Him was life; and the life was the light of men." These do not exhaust special descriptions and use of God's INbox. S&H gives us, starting on Pg. 12, " IN divine Science, where prayers are mental, all may avail themselves of God as "a very present help in trouble." That fits this Lift! We also sing about God's inbox, especially all 3 verses of CS Hymn # 154 by Frances A. Fox, which fits this Lift, too. The 2nd has, "WithIN thy love is safe abiding From every thought that giveth fear" The 3rd verse includes: "IN Thee I have no pain or sorrow, No anxious thought, no load of care."

There are many Bible verses, S&H citations, and lines in our hymns that would make quite a spiritual project to learn more about God's inbox. Also in Ps. 91:15, "He shall call upon me , and I will answer him.", which goes with the Isa. 65:24 verse in the Lift. Putting our load in God's inbox carries 2 extra advantages, we won't get spam or viruses! #61 Eva, You're meeting some of the world-wide Lift family you're part of, now. Welcome! #29 name, Good thoughts! Thanks!

  101. Really enjoyed this lift Maryl thank you. When I hear about good things and bad; I'm thinking, God is watching.

  102. I've been sorely challenged recently by some family issues. This week has been a struggle to not become paralyzed by reaction to events and others' choices. But each day, I've turned to God for "daily bread" (ideas), and I've then been able to pack my lunch, get to my job, and perform cheerfully. I'm grateful for this demonstration of God's activity and forward progress. Maryl, your Lift calmed me and fueled the final day of the workweek yesterday. Many thanks for your beautiful work...and you, too, Nate and team and all Lifters.

  103. I need to share this with my kids in college who often call home needing a lift because they are overwhelmed with school work.
I love the daily lifts Thank you.

  104. Just what I needed to hear this morning. Excellent!

  105. I have an "in-box" on my dressing table- a little jewelry box. A few years ago, I started putting messages to God on post notes--anything that required Divine intervention but sometimes just a note of praise. I'd fold up the note, put it in the box and when I closed the lid-it meant "sent". Then I could go about my day knowing all was well and God was in control. Upon reviewing the notes periodically, 90% had been fulfilled. ( perhaps the 10% wasn't what I needed) Thank you for the reminder

  106. Thank you.

  107. A wonderful message to remember. I do feel overwelmed at times and, yes, with e-mails too. Thank you for your helpful words.

  108. Thanks Maryl! Reminders of the simple steps to progress -- and a Bible passage I use as an anchor!

  109. THANKS! JUST EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!

  110. It's knee-mail from now on!!Great lift.Thank you very much.

  111. I put the awesome Mexican people that I love in God's E-Mail in-box every day!!!!
thanks for the Daily Lift Message Maryl God can love them so much more than I can.
gracias Maryl for your daily lift messageg!

  112. Thanks, Maryl, and to all who contribute to these wonderful lifts!

  113. So helpful. Just what I needed today! Thank you, Maryl!
