Thank you, Suzanne. The realisation of "angels" in charge means there is no compeition with whom is greater or greatest as we have in the media these days. I love "agels" and all that goes with that word in my study of Christian Science.

How good it is to be reminded that God is indeed always in charge, sending His angels to us moment by moment as we need them. Thanks so much for sharing these thoughts with us.

That sure takes away the thought of ever being 'alone'. It reminds me of the story in the Bible where Elisha's servant's eyes are opened and he saw a mountain full of horses and chariots of fire around him, when he was afraid. Those were angels! Thanks for the lift!

The best reminder of true governance! I have so needed to invoke the "armies of heaven" this week, and the Daily Lifts have been a "high tower". As I listen to this again and again, I am reminded of the response to 9=1=1. Everyone in my community in Northern California were so startled by the goings on that all normal activity stopped and community
forums were formed to respond to a great need to gather immediately and to support one another spiritually=to rise above the tragedy and fear and to come together all walks of faiths and pray. I was attending a Junior College class at the time and no classes were held, instead I was able to go and listen to a pastor speak and to hear people's questions answered. In the intervening weeks and ever since, I have felt free to express my spiritual thoughts in a way that I never felt encouraged to do so before. Out of tragedy there is always great light and renewed turning to God openly and wholeheartedly. For me that was and is a great blessing and I would say has certainly helped to change my life and has given me the freedom to reach out more to others with sound ideas and ways of thinking about life's challenges.
Thank you for this lovely lift. I find such depth packed into these small sound bites and I will miss my spiritual lift community over the weekend. Thanks again. And until then.....blessings on us all as the angels of elevated thinking watch over us and guide us in all our ways and days!

In Christian Science we are asked to pray everyday for our President, the Congress and the Judiciary. I love to think of them being directly linked to angel thoughts and right ideas coming straight from God. That does away with uncertain opinions and the notion of many minds.

A little poem by Edna LeBaron, that appeared in the Sentinel, December 1, 1997, "Guide us today and always" ends with this verse:

In a leadership class I used to teach, we also discussed "followership." The "leader" we follow is our choice and determines our experiences. This is such an inspiring Lift, Suzanne, especially with our daughter returning on that long drive home with her two little sons. God's angels will be protecting, guiding and governing each of them, every kilometre of the way, and all of us, as she returns home. In the book Christian Science Military Ministry 1917 - 2004 by Kim Schuette, during actual engagements in the field of conflict, very often the Chaplains and those who assisted with this work needed to keep repeating this Psalm many times, and very often they were joined by the very ones they were comforting. Those helped would in turn extend the mantle of prayer to others around them. There was no doubt God's angels were certainly seen to be "in charge".

I just looked up “opinion” in Wikipedia and found this great definition: “a subjective belief, and is the result of emotion or interpretation of facts”. Makes you never want to open your mouth again, doesn’t it?

I think I can share this. A member of our CS Society has been writing and sharing literature with a person who put themselves in a drug rehab program for 3 months. This week he learned that she discharged herself less than a third of the way through the program. He felt some disappointment for, in his opinion (sounds reasonable considering.....), she should have stayed the course. How interesting that Angel thoughts came SCREAMING in to us that in no way should we either short change the good done or limit God’s influence in another one's experience. Angels here, angels there! Plenty of angels in charge!

Thank you ! Sometimes God provides our needs in the most unusual ways. A couple days ago I was suddenly faced with some urgent tasks, and one I could not do alone. I needed someone with some muscle to help me and my regular handyman was not available. I had just 2 days to complete all the tasks, and no where to turn for help. Praying with all my heart as my feet hit the floor the first day, the thought came to "Call Paul"(a family friend), well, I knew he lived too far away and was way too busy to help me. But, as I continued to pray, the thought came again, and again, so timidly I called, and asked, "Where are you"?. You guessed it, he was in town just 5 minutes away. He came and the job was done in less than an hour. All tasks were completed on time and to the satisfaction of all. I give God all the Praise and Glory! "He knows the angels that you need, And sends them to your side," Hymn 9 The Daily Lifts are such a help ! Thank you!

We think often of a young lady we know in the Air Force National Guard serving in Afghanistan. The 91st Psalm has been our mainstay as I'm sure it is for others. With frequent changes in the officer in charge, this Daily Lift is a wonderful reminder of those Angels, who are really "in charge" as they pass to man, provide spiritual intuitions, inspiration and "counteract evil, sensuality and mortality." (S&H 581) Why they're never off-duty!

Her full definition of angels there is: "Angels. The angel-messages from God powerful illuminate our thought to lift it to the purity and goodness of life that counteracts all opposed to what God is causing of good. Thanks so much for this. Sometime after listening to it I was praying and listening regarding one situation, when I felt this quiet thought about another situation: "Leave everything to Me. Its safe in My hands." This was so comforting. I'm reminded of something else Mary Baker Eddy wrote on page 566 of Science and Health:
"The Old Testament assigns to the angels, God's divine messages, different offices. Michael's characteristic is spiritual strength. He leads the hosts of heaven against the power of sin, Satan, and
fights the holy wars. Gabriel has the more quiet task of imparting a sense of the ever-presence of ministering Love. These angels deliver us from the depths."

Thank you, Suzanne, for your inspiring fresh "take" on one of my favorite Bible messages--and for your follow-up note (#75). And for the many different applications brought out by lifters. I had an unpleasant surprise this week regarding a financial matter, when I realized that something important that I assumed had been taken care of by an entity had not actually been done. It boiled down to a situation where each party believed that the other was "in charge" of initiating the action, and each assumed that the other had in fact done so, with the result that an important deadline had not been met. I've been praying about this, of course, and find it powerfully helpful to know that God's angels are in charge of this whole situation now and going forward, and they "will bear [all those involved] up."

I'm very grateful for this daily inspiration and the love expressed by all involved.

Thank you Suzanne. God's angels are in charge today and always. Today, His angels were at the dry cleaners. I had to take some shirts in and they informed me that 2 shirts had gone to donations because I hadn't been there since August. ( I had found a coupon for another dry cleaners and patronized that, but forgot about these shirts. Even tho my husband felt some of us shirts were missing.)

I fussed that they hadn't called me. They said they did. But we don't check that phone much. I said it hadn't been 6 months, so they didn't follow policy. I was angry at myself mostly. I called my husband who felt that 3 more shirts were missing. I went to the other branch store and they affirmed 5 dry cleaned shirts were donated.

I hit the ceiling! It costs me $17.00 to send good shirts to a donation. They were frustrated too. They said that there was hope, that the donations didn't get picked up and they were over across town in a third branch. They would look.

Then I had to work the Christian Svience Reading Room. As, I got out of my car, I asked God for a reward for working the reading room. I asked for the shirts back. Then I listened to an audio chat on Spirituality.com about the Bible by Mary Trammel CSB. Very clear that the Bible blesses, heals, comforts( just what I needed).

Then the dry cleaning angel called, telling me all 5 shirts were found. That I could pick them up Monday. Thank God for the angels that saved the shirts. Thank you God for renewing my peace.

Linking this scripture, God giving his angels charge over us, to our presently acknowledging God's angels - His divine thoughts, as being "in charge of: everyone - is a perfect link. Hearing either political figures or political commentators attempting to take charge in a human way seems to bring such chaos. Yet, giving them to the charge of angels - really with God having authority over them - is where true authority and direction are, and we can be confident that God's will (not human, mortal wills) shall be done.

Much gratitude for this wonderful insight. I too had an unpleasant surprise regarding employment yesterday and felt hypnotized by the whole picture, although I was secretly grateful for the outcome. Mortal mind can be doggedly persistant in keeping the chaois going on long after the dream has ended. So this wonderful message this morning put me in my right employment, working in the house (consciousness) of the Lord and His angels (God's good thoughts) in charge. I am sooooo grateful for these wonderful lessons of Love turning us from sense to Soul, to our real being and supply of all good. Thank you for the wonderful work you do.

While our two teenage children were still living at home, at one point I found myself struggling with a false sense of responsibilty. One afternoon, feeling frustrated and worried about what I needed to do concerning several situations involving our kids, I stayed quiet a few seconds and asked God what HIS take was on the situation.
Immediately an angel thought winged in... "Close your 'I's and realize that I AM in charge!"

This all reminds me of when my children were small and would tell the other "you are not the boss of me!" It is so good to remember just who is really the "boss" of all of us - in our daily lives and in our thoughts. It is so reassuring to know that God's angel thoughts come to us just when we need them - not daily junk mail - but perfectly time-sensitive mail. Thank you again to all!
