Several years ago, I injured both of my knees. I could not walk more than a short distance without pausing. The pain was sharp and piercing, and it hindered me from doing what I love: running. I chose to work this challenge out through prayer because I had had many other healings prior to this and knew of the efficacy of Christian Science.

As traditional drug treatment seemed to leave me worse off instead of better, I abandoned medical treatment for more natural therapies, and in line with holistic philosophy, began to seek methods to heal and nurture my spirituality as well as my body.

My wife and I continued to marvel at his progress throughout the weekend. He reported no pain, had a normal appetite, slept peacefully, and woke with a desire to return to school Monday morning.

What I wanted, with all my heart, was a rising in consciousness that would show me the truth of being and bring permanent freedom. 

A few years ago, a small growth appeared on my right eyelid. I wondered if I should submit to having the growth surgically removed. I did not really want that, though, because I knew that God is the best “surgeon.” I had experienced the removal of unwanted growths before through relying on the teachings of Christian Science.

Over the next several weeks, my vision gradually and steadily improved. Finally, one morning I remember getting into the car and clearly seeing the vivid greens and deep browns of the trees, and the gorgeous blue sky. I said, “Hallelujah!” out loud, in gratitude for the freedom and stronger sense of vision that I had gained.

When I went to my next appointment, the midwife confirmed that my water had normalized. I had hardly gained any weight, and she was able to feel the baby. She was very relieved and happy that we could continue along our normal course of action. I left our appointment grateful for this affirmation of Spirit and Truth revealing harmony for all who needed to see it.

The pain disappeared and did not return. I was completely well. How happy I was to be free from a difficulty that had afflicted me for so many years and which I thought would never be healed!

The teachings of Christian Science gave me another vision of God as Life itself, beyond all threats of limitation and disease. This new concept touched me and liberated me from fears I’d had since childhood.
