By using this Mobile Application (the “Application“), you agree to be bound by this Mobile Application Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. This is an agreement between you and The First Church of Christ, Scientist ("TFCCS"). Using this Application may require registration and provision by you of certain information regarding yourself to us. If applicable, when you register, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and are not a person barred from receiving services under the laws of the United States or other applicable jurisdiction.
Privacy policy
Use of this Application may require you to provide personal information as part of a registration process. This policy tells you how we use and protect the information we collect.
Data Collection and Use. When you use this Application, we may collect and store some or all of the following:
Device sign-on data (such as device ID, IP address, and geolocation data) which enables users to sync content with our server.
Anonymized data that helps the Application analyze how you use or interact with it.
Your email address, if you provide it. In such cases, you consent to TFCCS’s using your email to send you messages about its events, activities, and publications. Such emails include a link to unsubscribe. You can revoke your consent at any time by email to info@christianscience.com.
We and our service providers use this information to operate and improve the Application and its related site and services.
You agree that TFCCS may combine the above data with other information, including personal information, obtained from your other interactions with TFCCS and its service providers, including your subscriptions, product purchases, website visits, or other communications. We may use this information to personalize the content and advertising that you see on our websites, and to share your information with any of our affiliates or service providers in order for them to provide advertising or to communicate with you on our behalf.
Sharing Information. This Application collects device IDs and browsing analytics and shares them with our contractors to enable you to interact with the Application and to provide a better user experience. This Application may use Google Analytics to collect such data. For more information on how data is used by Google Analytics, visit www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.
User Control and Uninstall. You can remove any user preferences and Application contents (quotes, and images) by uninstalling the Application. Uninstallation methods vary depending on your device. To uninstall this Application, please use the application manager provided with your device or consult your device manual for reference.
Security. The information this Application collects may be stored locally on your device and may be transmitted to servers in the United States. We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect against the unauthorized access, destruction or alteration of the data provided to us or collected by us, and do not retain it any longer than permitted in order to perform our services or as required under relevant law. You should be aware that Internet communications are not always secure. Despite our best efforts, no security measures are completely effective. Therefore, we cannot promise you that third parties cannot access your data, and you agree we are not liable for any such disclosure(s).
To the extent applicable, you are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account passwords, and you agree we are not liable for your disclosure of such information.
Policy Changes. TFCCS reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes. We will post notice of modification to the Privacy Policy on this page. Changes will become effective 14 days after they are posted. If you do not agree to any changes, please uninstall and discontinue using this Application. Any use of this Application after the fourteen (14) day notice period constitutes your acceptance of any change.

Terms of use
Application Use. TFCCS grants you the right to use this Application only for your personal use on a device or product that you own or control and according to the terms applied by the store delivering this Application. Your right to use this Application will terminate immediately if you violate any provision of this Terms of Use.
You may not modify, reproduce, lease, transfer, or sell this Application and/or its associated “Content,” defined as text, photos, and other similar copyrighted content. And, you may not use this Application in any manner that could impair any TFCCS property, application or site in any way or interfere with any party’s use or enjoyment thereof.
You agree to use the Application in compliance with all applicable laws. You agree to comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using this Application (e.g. your wireless data service agreement).
The store from which you obtained this Application has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to this Application.
The Application does not permit you to upload your own content.
(d) Representations and Warranties. You represent and warrant that (i) you will comply fully with all terms of this Agreement; (ii) you will not upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit material to the Application that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, and (iii) all factual statements submitted by you are accurate and not misleading.
(e) Communications. TFCCS may communicate with you in connection with the Application, electronically and in other media, and you consent to such communications unless you notify TFCCS that you no longer wish to receive communications about the Application. Indemnification.
You agree to indemnify, defend (at our election), and hold harmless TFCCS, its affiliated entities, directors, officers, trustees, employees, contractors, agents, and third-party suppliers from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable attorney's fees and costs, arising out of your use or misuse of the Application, any breach or alleged breach by you of these Terms, any breach or alleged breach of the copyright, trademark, proprietary or other rights of third-parties by you, or any breach of the representations, warranties, and covenants made by you under these Terms. TFCCS reserves the right, at your expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify TFCCS, and you agree to cooperate with TFCCS’s defense of these claims.
Application or Terms of Use Changes. TFCCS reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Please check this page periodically for changes. Miscellaneous Provisions.
No director, officer, trustee, employee or agent of TFCCS or its affiliates shall be personally liable for the performance of or failure to perform any provision of this Agreement. These Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and the relationship between you and TFCCS shall be exclusively governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to their conflict of law provisions.
