5. Elena desde California (San Diego) Says:
Wonderful lift, Suzanne! I was thinking, in the modern world, millions of people travel by air, land and sea. Year after year we trust our lives and our loved ones to this means. Shouldn’t we more so trust God, our Father, with our lives? To God which is Life itself? We must trust in God, rely on Him. MBE tells us, “hopes and affections are spiritual, they come from above, not from beneath, and they bear as of old the fruits of the Spirit”. (S&H 451:16) We must consider God’s promises, we are chosen as His children, His heirs, His own image and likeness, “God created man in his own image” (Gen 1:27) what promise can be greater than that? Our textbook tells us, “Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be molded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds” (S&H 1:11) And earlier on she says,,”What we most need is the prayer of fervent desire for growth in grace, expressed in patience, meekness, love, and good deeds (S&H 4:3).
6. Julie Says:
Beautiful, Suzanne! Thank you, just what I need this morning – unerring, unchanging, unfailing promise and direction. It inspires me to express the “self-reliant trustworthiness” Mary Baker Eddy speaks of in Science and Health, and to see it reflected in all of God’s children, no matter what the material picture is saying.
7. Warren Says:

Thanks so much Suzanne for reminding us how precious and dependable God’s promises are. The Bible also states that God will forgive ALL thine iniquities and heal ALL thy diseases. I take this as a promise from GOD and that nothing can be excluded from ALL.
20. Michael Z of Boulder Says:
Great thought today. Wordly cares can be distracting so its important to remember always here for us, not just when we pray. I love to be reminded that he is saving us constantly. Thanks.
21. Lorraine in Dayton, Ohio Says:
Loved what you said today. Thanks so very much! Principle has always been my favorite synonym because it stands for LAW, in my opinion. God’s law supersedes any so-called material law and it is always upbeat, progressive, honest, pure, true, loving, and eternal. We can utterly rely upon the law of God to bring into our experience nothing but joy and happiness, love and good deeds. So much to be grateful for! Thanks again, Suzanne.
22. Celeste Says:
This is great – very clear and powerful. Thanks.
23. Claire, Florida Says:
As I start my day today I listen to you and am reminded of God’s blessing and his precious promises. I will hold them dear, and thank you for this wonderful lift.
24. Abe says: Says:
Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
25. Fotios Dardamanis, Powell, OH Says:
What a beautiful message! Thank you Suzanne. And to think that all those that are called laws of physics (aerodynamics, gravity, etc.) ultimately are just human manifestations of the one Law, the law of God in “whom we live and move and have our being.” In God’s kingdom we are safe, and His promises never fail. Thank you for delivering such an inspiring, timely message.
26. HAL SAYS. Says:
THANKYOU SUZANNE FOR THIS DAILY LIFT, I DO FEEL THE LOVE THAT IS REFLECTED, BY THESE DAILY LIFTS. AND GODS PROMISES ALWAYS. WILL TALK TO YOU LATER.
27. Rosa from Tn. Says:
Thank you, Suzanne. From S&H , ” Divine Love always has met, and always will meet every human need”. God’s promises are kept is such a wonderful way to start the morning!
28. NBC in NY Says:
I’m moved to express my Thank You for directing my focus today on trusting God’s promises.
29. David Says:
One thing that stands out is that these promises are as dependable as aerodynamics. That means that they were there from the very beginning, are there now, and always will be. Nothing can change that, as it is a principle, a law.
30. Mary H Says:
Thank you for the reminder that God does keep promises. That is something we can count on. God Love does meet our needs and is always with us. Thank you again.
31. Kris Says:
LOVE this! These precious promises are universal, aren’t they? Over all, and all! Thank you, Suzanne, for your joyous delivery of this beautiful confident message of God’s love for us. SO grateful for these uplifts, what a gift!
32. Stephen Pierce Says:
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses,so I will be be with thee:I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goes.
Joshua 1:5,9
God’s promises to be most real.
Thank you Suzanne.
Joshua 1:5

36. Chink Says:
What a simple, yet profound, message of God’s promises fulfilled in our experience.
37. Jim Dalrymple Says:
Thank you Suzanne! I was actually doing a lot of research and prayer on God’s promise to those who do His will yesterday. I was thinking about my motive in considering some insurance recently. Does God need a backup in case He does not fulfill His promise of health and happiness to those who do His will? No! Of course there is a requirement on my part to do all I can to stay on the narrow path of righteousness. Will I get that insurance policy? I’m not sure yet, but your lift today certainly helped me feel more certain that God nevers fails us.
38. Susan Carol Says:
I FEEL precious to God- Thanks so much Suzanne – I feel blessed and comforted already! Bless you so much for sharing with us all !
39. Sammie in Texas Says:
Thank you Suzanne from Colorado….it is very refreshing to hear these words of God’s promises being kept when one prays for a healing for what seems a good period of time. One learns what is important and is lifted up to a higher thought to which God’s plan is revealed in each one of us. And thank you all for your wonderful enlightened comments. It always amazes me the messages that come from so many different parts of the world … God, in deed, is everywhere.
40. anonymous Says:
Thanks so much for the lift and comments.
I had a big disappointment last weekend. The lift reminded me of what has helped me before. It is the simple idea(precious promise) that “I shall yet praise him.”
Psalm 42:5
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.”
Thanks.
41. charles Says:
Thanks Suzanne
great message for today, and always. God’s precious promises are forever.
42. BlueGold Says:
Thank you — thank you. Peter said: “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you – - .” Thank you for sharing your inspiration on this point. You have appropriately made reference to the laws of aerodynamics. Let me share the inspiration that came to me relating to the laws of mathematics – - and the word “multiplied.” Webster – “Multiply” : “To increase the amount, number, or degree of; to make more numerous.” WOW ! “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you” – - (and to me !). Again, turning to Webster (2nd Ed): “Grace – - Divine love and power freely bestowed on man as a gift from God.” Divine love and power multiplied !!! It is a gift from God. Then you conclude: “Feel God’s precious promises blessing (me) – - .” How do I “feel” these precious promises? Oh, the challenge – the desire for growth in grace – - expressed in patience, meekness, love, and good deeds – - and with humility as God’s servant. Thank you, Thank You. With gratitude and love.
43. Anonymous Says:
Thanks very much. Exceeding expectations as always. Much love to you and to all the dear practitioners and lecturers who work so hard for humanity.
44. Carol F. Missouri Says:
Great gratitude to you Suzanne for assuring me and all that each of God’s precious promises are dependable because they are the law.
45. Cathy from Oregon Says:
A nice reminder – God’s love is always present – I’m lifted and ready to start my day – thank you.
46. Linda Bargmann Says:
CSPS put out a large book called “Great and Precious Promises” about 15 years ago which had a picture of a girl on the front who looked like one of our foster children. When she left our home to go to an adoptive home, we gave her the big book to take with her. Every time I hear the phrase since then, I think of all those precious children and God’s dependable promise to keep them protected and loved. Thanks for the reminder.
47. Katy Jean Says:
Wow! This message was sent to me when I needed it the most. God’s Precious Promise. How many times have we been disappointed by a friend or even a spouse because of a broken promise? Yet God’s promise’s will never fail. He is good to His word. The Bible is full of His promise’s and we should know and expect everyone of His promise’s to come to full fruition. Because we are His divine reflection, we should strive to be like Him, good to our word.
48. jessica Says:
Thank you,that was great
49. Alan new galloway Says:
Thank you for this moment, I was so blessed by what you said Thank you
50. Kathryn from AZ Says:
It’s the law! Thanks for elevating the concept of promise to omniactive law. I breathed a sigh of relief.
51. Cici from Los Angeles Says:
I love what you said about God’s promises because we know they are absolutely dependable and always present!!! That’s quite a precious lift, Suzanne. I love that God doesn’t waver, doesn’t change anything that is already perfect, doesn’t separate from us, because we are His perfect image and likeness. I simply love God, and right now, I am feeling His blessings to the brim. Thank you Suzanne and all the Daily Lifters. Have a blessed day everyone!!
52. Jan , Co. Springs Says:

56. June Mary Says:
Thank you, Suzanne, that’s exactly what I’ve been experiencing this morning. So good to be aware of it and to expect it to be faithful.
57. Maureen from Spearfish Says:
#50/Kathryn said she breathed a sigh of relief. Oh, so did I!! In recent months, I have been clinging to so many of God’s precious promises. So that part of the lift was familiar to my heart. But the thought that zinged right through to the deepest part of me, and caused that “ahhhhhh” of sweet relief, was your reminder that we can RELY on God to fulfill—-fully fill–ALL His promises.
I”m reminded of something from years ago–the “trust fall”–where someone would stand behind you and you were supposed to let yourself fall backwards, trusting they would be there and would catch you. Well, at this present moment, due to some challenging human experiences, there’s not really anyone I would trust to catch me. One or two I might trust, but would doubt their ability to hold my weight, physically and emotionally. (And besides, I wouldn’t want to be a “burden” to those one or two.). But ah, being reminded so powerfully that I can, actually, fall back into the arms of divine Love . . . let God catch and carry me totally–and to know, with rocksure certainty, that He is there, every single time . . .with not even the ability to drop me!!!!
When I listened to this Daily LIft and heard Suzanne speak of God’s utter reliability, something that was knotted up inside me just let go . . unraveled . . .dissolved. Now I can think of all the sweet and precious promises God is delivering and smile, ear to ear, knowing that those promises are really, truly, mine.
Thank you, Suzanne, Nate, Nate’s helpers, and all the listeners and commenters. These Daily LIfts and the upswell of response are a blessing to me, more than I can say.
58. Virginia Says:
How beautiful! Thank you Suzanne for the reminder of God’s unfailing promises. We can always trust Him.
59. Laura Fisher- Orange, CA Says:
Thanks, Suzanne. It’s always so good to hear your ideas. I often work with the idea that you and your family demonstrated:
When an idea comes–question it to determine if the idea is coming from God. If not, then reject it. It only takes a second, but it sure quickly determines what thought to accept as true or to reject as not true. And as this lift declares, we can accept and depend on God’s precious promises as Truth.
Love to you and your family!
60. Kenneth Masson Says:
Why can’t “My Daily Lift” be marketed as a paid radio or television broadcast to local stations and run where regular commercials are run. Blank space at the end of the 1 minute 50 second program could be provided to direct listeners or watchers to their local Christian Science Churches or an upcoming Christian Science Lecture in the community. Many television stations used to carry these messages from religious groups as their “Thought for Today” when they signed on in the morning. Now that most television and radio stations operate 24 hours a day, this type of programming is no longer broadcast.
All local Christian Science Media Committee’s would have to do is subscribe to the program and then purchase regular commercial time to run the program. Many radio and television stations which do not program half hour religious shows, would be willing to air a short program such as “My Daily Lift.”
MODERATOR’S COMMENT:
The Daily Lift is available for rebroadcast. We give permission to air the Daily Lift on radio stations and other media broadcasts free of charge as long as the Daily Lift is played in full and our copyright is audibly heard.
61. Jeffrey McKay Says:
Precious because faithful. Nice.
62. Leah Says:
Very refreshing! Thank you!
63. Mom D Says:
As the hymn says, “God’s promises are kept.”
64. J.S. in Ky Says:
Thank you, Suzanne, for reminding me that just accepting some of the promises in the Bible, isn’t enough. I’ve loved CS because it recognizes statements by Jesus, the disciples, and verses in older scripture as being true, dependable. For example, I never knew (before finding CS) anyone, who loved & believed the Bible, who even half believed that they could do the works Jesus did, but CS made that a demonstrable expectation. I realized after CS light was shone on that verse in John 14, that either Jesus meant what he said, or he was a liar, and I didn’t know anyone who would have thought that he lied. There were many similar verses that I’ve held dear. Your lift makes me realize I’ve still short changed my own acceptance of yet many more precious promises filling the Bible pages. What an inheritance waiting for me to start collecting and depending on them more than ever to use and share. All the ones I’ve “stood” on reliably, are evidence that the rest are equally true and dependable. You highlighted how “precious” they are, not just to us using them, but precious to God and the ones who gave them to us in the Bible. These lifts and comments shared are a precious modern daily promise. I’m humbly grateful to everyone.
65. mlp from Quad-Cities, U.S.A. Says:
Dear Suzanne,
Thank you so very much for your timely and comforting “Lift” today! A family member is flying home from Italy this morning. Because of God’s “faithful precious promises” based on universal divine laws, we can include in our prayers, all of our neighbors who are flying today. I must also express gratitude for a timely cartoon in this week’s “My Bible Lesson.” I discovered it shortly after the plane’s departure time this morning. What a joy! The picture showed an airplane with two pilots who were receiving a message from “the Divine control tower.” It was an encouraging message about God’s control and safety. The message also told them to “relax and enjoy the view.” (My family member was looking forward to viewing the Alps.) I took that invitation to heart and was filled with gratitude for the higher spiritual views that we are gaining because of the inspiration that we receive from all of our varied Christian Science publications – including these “Daily Lifts.” Thanks again, Suzanne, for your help with today’s spiritual journey!
66. Suzanne Riedel Says:
I’m always so humbly grateful to read the wonderful responses to the daily lift and to each other, to see the tremendous power of prayerful thought that is embracing the world — and each other— with “upswell of response” a #57 said, to God’s precious promises. I’m so grateful that # 57 felt the pressure of problems “ravel” and #50’s “sigh of relief” is universal to all! Thank you for each one of you taking the time to share.
67. di-vanc Says:
“God’s law supersedes any so-called material law and it is always upbeat, progressive,” (from #21, Lorraine) …God’s Law, always upbeat and progressive!! I LOVE this! (Principle has always meant Law to me too.) It delights my heart to feel that upbeat, progression on my divine journey here. Rather makes one want to sing…His melody expressed…each of us…
” What God has spoken cannot fail to achieve
its purpose.” (New Century Bible Commentary p. 194)
68. RL Says:
Christian Science being the law of God, when we are relying on Chistian Science, we are actually relying on the law of God!
69. JD Says:
Thanks for the lift and comments.
I expect that 63 is referring to the assurance and promise of Jesus in John 14:12 that prayer works. “…He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also;..” MB Eddy writes about this Bible verse in Miscellaneous Writings. She refers to it as a “radical and unmistakable declaration of the right and power of Christianity to heal…”The word “ecclesiastic” means “a person…consecrated to the service of the church and the ministry of religion”.(Students Reference Dictionary) “The next step for ecclesiasticism to take, is to admit that all Christians are properly called Scientists who follow the commands of our Lord and His Christ,Truth; and that no one is following his full command without this enlarged sense of the spirit and power of Christianity. ‘He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do,” is a radical and unmistakable declaration of the right and power of Christianity to heal; for this is Christlike, and includes the understanding of man’s capabilities and spiritual power.”(p. 193)
70. Maria Elvira – Brasil Says:
It´s so comforting to know we can rely on “God´s precious promises”!
And one of these promises is that God – my Father- Mother loves me and cares for me and all humanity as well forever! So, whatever comes to meet us He´s by our side guiding us through the “path of righteousness” as the promise we find in Psalm 23: 3 and also in this same psalm 23: 6 we read:
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of Lord for ever.”
What a relief is to trust in God´s promises!
Thank you very much, Suzanne for your inspiration!
71. Emilio Says:
Wow!
What a lift!
Thank you, Suzanne, Nate, Nate’s helpers, and commenters. These Daily LIfts are showers of blessings to me.
Many thanks!
72. Chrissie Brown Says:
Merci Suzanne! I am a late reader this time and it’s so much fun reading all the replies. It’s like a kaleidoscope of thoughts coming from many different directions. I loved that book “Precious Promises” that Linda mentioned.
I feel blessed and know that God keeps His promises to all. Bisous, Chrissie
73. Janice Says:
Love #71’s use of “showers of blessings” for these Daily Lifts. That they certainly are and each one is a gem to treasure.
I really like the thought of God’s infinite precious promises, absolutely faithful and dependable. I couldn’t ask for anything better than that!! What a wonderful assurance. Thanks so much!!
74. Dwight Says:
