What a lovely child’s voice! What a wonderful sound to listen to! What a lift!, Thank you, Marie, this lift arrived at the time when I desperately needed to hear that. My mom is staying with us for the month and for first time in my life I am appreciating quality time together. (Though just thinking of how much I’ll have to do when she goes back home exhausts me.) As I am translating this lift for my Spanish speaking friends, I can feel the strength inherent in these words. As you read Mrs. Eddy’s requests “Let us feel the divine energy of Spirit”, I’m taking every word in like oxygen, “In this very moment the only strength within me and around me is spiritual, is good, is God, the Supreme Good” all this tiredness melts away, then I feel that tomorrow I can start all over again anew. This is a lift to keep, to write it in my memory , in my heart, and recall it over and over, “divine energy is strength, power, vigor, and also life, joy, love, harmony and holiness”, (I’m sure I can find more qualities.) “This energy of Love, of infinite good, expresses itself in a permanent and persistent way, it encircles us, it holds us, it propels the entire spiritual universe and each spiritual idea of His creation, it lives within each of us. This divine strength in action motivates us and makes all thoughts of weariness or incapacity, fade away.” And my strength is renewed, “ It is wonderful, from early morning and through every moment of the day, to feel the divine energy of Spirit, and this is the only energy there is”. Energy from morning till night, reflected by His image and likeness: us, God’s children.

What an inspiring power surge of energy the Lifts and comments give every morning. This morning I awoke feeling distressed over decisions to be made. Like #4, I am in the 10th year of a great career in wildlife research, needing to know if this coming season will be an increased commitment, or a transition to “letting go’ and moving on. Thank you Laura for the healing your comment brought to me this morning.

I have for many years followed issues of energy consumption, alternative energy, and now “peak oil” and the transitions needed to adapt to the circumstances. Often there is a fearful sense of limited supply and potential lack, also though of creative thought and invention and inspiration. Pondering the divine energy of Spirit, it is so obvious that the energy resource within our Lift community knows no limits, it is powered by the infinite, unlimited Source. I love the mental picture of the wave of energy expressed by our world-wide group as we arise in the morning, check in with the Lift, and share inspiration. It is a tsunami of irresistible blessing and healing flowing around the globe, lifting everyone in its path. This directly affects the human need for energy resources. Unlimited good expressed. Energy unconfined. Unstoppable healing. What a treat to be part of this community.

What a contrast to claim a spiritual energy encompassing us verses the energies such as anxiety or depression. The 2:00 pm chat given Tuesday on Spirituality.com (Subject of Depression) was a talk working with individuals to combat an energy that is so unlike a pure, peaceful, knowing of God’s presence energy. On this lift we hear of the energy we can claim by divine right. This is one healing message that can be worked with to dissolve the false illusion of any other energy be it anger, drive, sadness to depression, stress to anxiety, dislike to hate. All the degrees of false energy are removed/diminished as we go from claiming to understanding the true spiritual energy talked about in this lift, Spirit/God. This message is promising us that God is continually loving us in a way that is relevant. What a help. Thank you.

You have helped us all to axpand our understanding of spiritual energy. It reminds me to think spiritually, and not dwell on the concepts of physical energy or power. Example: how much energy is consumed in expressing holiness? Or in expressing joy? Or in a smile? The answer: none! Why? becasue the source is with God and it is unlimited. God’s energy (goodness) is then manifiested by the individualized ideas of his creation. These ideas (Marie and me – and all of God’s children) reflect this energy. We do not consume energy, or use it all up. We do not “run out of gas.” My simple, but hopefully helpful, analogy is that as an individual idea of God’s spiritual creation, I am like a light bulb. The energy is not in the bulb. And the light does not go on unless the lamp is plugged into the power source and the switch turned on. Then the light is bright, but not of its own energy. You have made this very clear – - “Feel the divine enrgy of Spirit (source) every moment of the day (the manifesation). This is the only energy that exists – - and it propels the entire spiritual universe.” Conclusion: this divine source of energy propels me as an individualized spiritual idea, and this source is inexhaustible and completely renewable. Therefore, thank you again. Today, I will conciously pray to be plugged in to my source of energy – - and that will light my day. Others will see it as joyful living , harmony, and meaningful acitivity. On page 514 it says,”Mind, joyous in strength, dwells in the realm of Mind. Mind’s infinite ideas run and disport themselves. In humility they climb the heights of holiness.” What uplifting ideas for us to pray with. And how about this statement on the next page of S&H. “Patience is symbolized by the tireless worm, creeping over lofty summits, persevering in its intent.” (p. 515) That inspires me, too, to acknowledge “tireless” being as a present reality because all creation reflects the Mind that is “joyous in strength”.

Thank you so much Marie! I really needed this today. In truth, it is impossible for Spirit, God, to be weary, and as His reflection, we cannot be either. As MBE has said, p.218, s/h: “…that which affirms weariness made that weariness.” The affirmer (animal magnetism) is a liar—and since it is not true, it is unreal and cannot affect us. It has no authority or power, since God is the only authority and the only power there is. And as one obeys the First Commandment, no power can be given to another, so called power.

The child on this “lift” is just wonderful! What a great addition in expressing the innocence of Truth!

It reminds me of a Bible verse from Joshua 14:11. He proved that strength doesn’t diminish because it a spiritual idea. “As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now..”
The Spanish translation is Josué 14:11 (Reina-Valera 1960)

This “Lift community” (from Lynn, #17) – that’s a very helpful realization because it really is one, and an active and effective one. It is surely the case that this community, in it’s oneness of thought around each day’s idea, is having healing effects that extend beyond what you are hearing from each other. I would also suppose that the community is probably bigger than the list of those who respond.

I know I can’t be the first to say this, but the whole Lift concept is a brilliant inspiration from The Mother Church. I’m new this (put onto it by your own Tracy C-K) and have only heard and read a few day’s worth of lifts, and each one has been very helpful and timely, as I can see everyone finds. Just today, in a situation in our home, I have found real healing help from today’s concept and Marie’s words that the divine energy of Spirit “expresses itself in a permanent and persistent way” for us.

Merci boucoup, Marie, and to all who’ve added remarks to these lifts. After listening before bed, I couldn’t understand why I seemed to awaken with little energy. Even the lesson study didn’t snap me out of it. Every task took effort, but I did get them done. I listened to the lift again. After almost all day, I knew everyone of the “lift friends” had been working with this. I had to be able to use it, too, not only for me, but for those sharing ideas and their gratitude for what is a very good “lift”. Even if no one ever knew it, I couldn’t let down the purpose of the lifts. Thanks, to everyone. #43, was a big help. I had no energy to be drained away, and it would take nothing from me to light up and let the energy flow. #17, pushed me to be part of the world-wide wave, too. Mind wouldn’t inspire others and catch them in this wave, but leave me out. I made it! This is one example why the lifts and the comments are beneficial. They didn’t take away from my regular study and prayerful thoughts all day, but they added to them, and gave me the spark that lit my outlook. Marie used the words “persistent” and “motivation” and that’s what took place. Even when I didn’t feel energy, Spirit was working in me to have me do so. It’s a joy to have this lift/gift. Words can’t describe what took place with me all day, but I’m humbly and gratefully using the energy it brought, right now! It’s a late hour, but I’m in the midst of a very long and difficult task that I’ve needed to do for many weeks, delayed partly because of time, and because I didn’t have the right utensils I needed anymore. Tonight, I’m getting ideas to substitute for that, too. Merci!
