2. joyce gwyneth says:

Thank you for that very important reminder.

3. Anne d’Ambra says:

From France:

Merci beaucoup Muchas gracias Lorenzo! It came for me at the Perfect day Perfect timing. So grateful! I am going to pray for I have a long drive to a place where I usually don’t like to go but with this in mind, I will pray to love my neighbor as myself, to see as God sees, His God perfect and loving child.

Thank you

4. Janet P J says:

Thank you. I recently found out that when we forgive in our heart, and desire to love someone who may have offended us, God will open the way to mend the relationship easily and naturally. As my hard view softened, I desired to be humble enough to make the first move. A stalk of bananas fell into the neighbors driveway, so I called and the one who had been acting like a ferocious bully answered in a subdued voice. I offered the very large bunch of bananas to him. He was not feeling well, and said in a soft voice he would like that. and inquired about another matter we shared, and all was back to normal, after about two years of estrangement. The change of thought opened the way gracefully.

5. Margaret Seymour says:

Thank you. I love the thought that the ones most difficult to love are the ones that need it most, it makes it so much more important and desirable.

6. Agathe Verdier says:

Thank you so very much Lorenzo!

7. Ruthilary says:

What a lovely generous loving attitude Janet must have formed, one of true Grace. Perhaps we could all expect that when this happens in our hearts “bunches of bananas” will fall in front of us to share with our neighbours!

I was glad to be reminded by Lorenzo that the people who come into our experience, who seem the most hard to love, are those who need our love the most! So like the Good Samaritan we find ourselves doing what we can and then accompanying them along the path.
After all an enemy is only some attitude within ourselves, externalised, that needs changing.

8. Cynthia says:

Such an important message today isn’t it? And like a previous commenter noted, those that might be difficult to love are those that need it most is a very empowering thought, it makes it much less about us and more about them and propels us to the true spirit of love. Thank you and love to all…

9. Julia says:

So true! Thank you!

10. Eleanor says:

And the first part of that loving is the activity of separating them in our thought from the unloveable aspects which seem to make them difficult to love. These are lies about God and man, not the truth which we can always love. The second part is expressing that love by following the specific leadings of the Christ, as Janet did.

Thank you so much, Lorenzo, for raising this fundamental aspect of all prayer.

11. Malcolm Drummond, Henrietta NY says:

Thank you Lorenzo. Isn’t that so true! ‘Those who are most difficult to love, are the ones that need it the most! I agree! “JUST LOVE EVERYONE”

12. Joan Wattam says:

Thank you, Mr Rodriguez. My thoughts have been on love, the kind of love that Mrs Eddy demonstrated, which healed all – everyone. Why? How? Because she was the pure transparency of non-judgemental, unconditional Love that is God. Love is not something we have to put on; it is our intrinsic nature – the Christly self; the demonstration of our oneness with God, Love. Love comes from the heart, and that is what is expressed; we cannot stop it. There are no barriers to Truth (our oneness with the Divine – God) and Love (our native air and innate reality of being).

I am so grateful for your uplifting thoughts, and for all these Daily Lifts – Love lifts us higher!!

13. Maria Elvira – Brasil says:

Thank you very much for this loving message!
This is all about what Paul suggests us in Ephesians 4:1-3:
“Therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavouring to keep the unity of Spirit in the bond of peace.”
God bless you all!!!

14. Eduardo says:

Hermoso. Muy útil.
Muchas gracias por compartirlo en español.

15. Tenney says:

Oh! How I love these daily lifts and the added bonus of all the loving comments. In your healing expression of love, we are entertaining The Christ and brings to mind Mary Baker Eddy’s thought from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: “Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals.”
Overflowing gratitude, Lorenzo and all of you

16. Anne M says:

Your message today is so vitally important. For me loving our neighbour as ourselves is not altruistic, is it not being a good samaritan, its about working out our salvation in the way Jesus taught. It is the path of life for all. Its Christian Science. Thank you for your lovely message. God Bless you.

17. Merrilyn M. says:

Thank you for this simple Truth. I will carry it in my heart today and pass it on s well. Merri

18. alexandrina batalha says:

19. Liz says:

Thank you Lorenzo that was an angel message meant for me today. I so love getting this daily lift it always helps me. With love and gratitude to the team.

20. Mary says:

lets heal the world

21. Barbara says:

There is someone in my present experience who just can’t get the concept of forgiveness and loving our neighbor and enemies. Ironically, because of this attitude of his, I find it difficult to love him. Your message about those most in need of love solves my problem!

22. Elaine from Toronto says:

Lorenzo, thank you for brining me back to basics.

23. June Mary says:

Thank you, Lorenzo, for this wondeful and simple message. Divine Love is already all-inclusive, we simply need to enter into the spirit of it. Christ Jesus said, “I go before you to make a place for you, that where I am you may be also.” The holy habitations of Oneness are ours to see and to occupy from moment to moment, in big and in small ways. These are in Truth, our only challenges! “God is good, and His mercy endureth forever.” Joy to everyone today!

24. Shirley says:

Thank you, Lorenzo. I like to think of loving like the sun shines. It just shines – loves- rather than like a flash light kind of love that is only pointed here and there.

25. Grace from Texas says:

Thanks, Lorenza, Love is God, love is the action of God’s universe, the presence, the power, the vitality, the beauty. the environment, the glue that holds everything good together because it is the onlyt true attraction. To just love with the highest understanding we have of Love will heal that which claimes to be something: unloving acts, the unloveable, cruel, hateful, ugly and prove the nothingness of error and the somethingness which is God and Love’s creation. Thank you!

26. Rebecca Schaefer says:

Thanks for the truth expressed in a reminder to love unselfishly and that those who need it the most seem to be the hardest to love. It’s so true and I needed to be reminded of that this morning.

27. J S in AZ says:

Brilliant message to start the day.

28. Mary H says:

Loving our neighbor is necessary and even those who are very close to us. Love heals.

29. Janice says:

Your message is perfect for me this week. How easy it is to have our feelings hurt and then back away and entertain thoughts of resentment. But your reminder that those who are the most difficult to love are the ones who need our love the most is exactly what I need today to melt away all resentment and pour in love for everyone I encounter. Thanks so much.

30. Just me says:

Thank you Lorenzo, for this very important reminder! And Grace (23) thank you too! I’ve been married a long time and recently I’ve been wondering what in the world attracted me to that “grumpy old man.” During 30+ years we have both changed, a lot. However, his primary focus has always been to take care of his family. My primary focus was always to express Love (with a capital L) unconditionally in all that I do. I’d lost sight of the fact that what he needs most is to feel Love’s presence and what I need most is to feel God’s presence caring for me. It was Love, the true attraction that brought us together, holds us together and heals all the nothingness claiming to be something.
And Nate, your hey, hey just makes me smile every time I hear it. You guys rock! I am truly grateful for these daily lifts. What a joyous way to start or end a day. Thanks to TMC for providing this service! It seems to bring us together as a world wide family.

31. kathy says:

there is also someone in my life that for the last two years became very difficult to love, what was once a good fun friendship turned sour with resentment and cold indifference on her part. I prayed about this, and am ashamed to say at times held very unloving thoughts about her also. I felt completely justified in my feelings because of her “coldness” towards me. I was awake a lot last night thnking about her and praying about this situation. Imagine my surprise when I read the daily lift this morning! I will make a list of all the qualities I loved about her,and hold to those today. I also feel the need to love myself in a purer way, I was beating myself up pretty good with guilt. Today will be a turning point for “us” as I willl hold her up in the light as well as myself. Thank you.

32. Carol, Boynton beach, FL says:

Mary Baker Eddy was so wise to see that “Love is reflected in Love”.

Thank you for the lovely thoughts that come to us through these inspirational messages.

Carol H.
Boynton Beach, FL

33. Barbara- Tempe AZ says:

What a wonderful way to find compassion and to prevent one from taking offense at another’s poor actions or words- to realize that the person who acts unlovely is the person who feels unloved. Also goes along with what Jesus said-that he came not to condemn but to save.

34. Gifty in North Carolina says:

As usual, another beautiful interpretation of our dear Master’s teachings! Thank you for breaking it down. Have a great day everybody!!!

35. Sammie in Texas says:

Love is certainly the way today … and every day. Thank you for your precious message Lorenzo Rodriquez.

36. deb says:

Dear Lorenzo – thank you so much. This is what heals our world, and is healing in our churches as well!

37. Maureen from Spearfish says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lorenzo and all the commenters. What an illuminating nugget of truth to carry throughout the day: that those who seem most unlovable, are those who most need to be loved. That gives fresh resolve to my commitment to love unconditionally, both others and myself. Again, Thanks!

38. Sophie says:

Lorenzo– Thank you for your much needed lift today. Your message really helped me to see clearly how to pray about a situation in my life.

39. Chrissie Brown says:

Gracias Lorenzo for this lovely and loving message. God is Love and we are Love’s. Can’t ask for anything more but see It and live It. :)

40. William Battle says:

Gracias, Lorenzo. Muchas gracias, Rafael

41. Heidi S says:

For me, Love is it. It is the greatest and brings so many blessings not only to those that you love, but to your own identity. Thanks for this wonderful Lift! Much love…..

42. Christine says:

Hi Lorenzo. “No if or but, just love”. I like that. I miss your reading last Wednesday. I hope to see you this Wednesday. Thank you for this wonderful lift. It was very much needed, specially after what happened in Fort Wood, Texas.

43. Helen says:

Thanks Lorenzo, what a powerful message, it is what we need the most! “to love one another”, regardless of whatever is going on, between us and the other person or persons. And to remember, we have the ability to love, it is a given from God!!
How wonderful, to be reminded. It is the greatest thing to do!!

44. Laurie says:

I have been working on a “love your neighbor” situation which sounds much like #31. I too have been trying to love and release in the face of indifference and coldness and yet feeling sad, resentful, etc etc. but then return to prayer that God is Love and we all live in the atmosphere of Love Divine. This daily lift is a perfect reminder to love one another and I will continue to know that only Love is filling each moment of everyone’s experience and I can express and feel only love coming and going. Thank you to the board of lectureship for the daily lifts and to Lorenzso for this particular nugget of inspiration.

45. Stephen Pierce says:

Hello Lorenzo. In the way we treat ourselves we treat our neighbour. That neighbour is us reflected in others.

Thank you.

46. Jennifer says:

Thanks. It reminds me of what Mrs. Eddy wrote in Miscellaneous Writings called “Love Your Enemies.” It makes it clear that there isn’t a middle ground between loving and hating. We are doing either one or the other and how important it is to make an effort to love. She writes, “I would enjoy taking by the hand all who love me not, and saying to them, ‘I love you and would not knowingly harm you.’ Because I thus feel, I say to others: Hate no one….”
Have a Love-filled day.

47. Karen, Santa Fe, NM says:

Along with dailly thanks for Daily Lifts, let me express my delight with the pictorial representation of our lift-off. Nothing can keep us down, no earth weights, with all this upliftment hoisting us aloft sending us onward and upward together. Love it! Muchas Gracias, thats so niceas.

48. Lucille – Texas says:

Wonderful, timely message – the best possible day-starter! Thank you Lorenzo
and all who have shared their unfoldments.

49. Erv says:

Thank you muchly, Lorenzo. Muchas gracias. And thank you Shirley, #24.
True enough. Why use a flashlight when a fuller, all encompassing and brighter light, never diminishing, is already provided? How wonderful is the
healing work related above. It is Love’s work. And we are the beneficiaries!

50. Emily Mitchell says:

Thank you for the lift. The Bible and MBE instruct us that seeing the reality of the perfect man as Jesus did instead of the “demoralized opposite,” S&H 407:24-26, is what helps us to get beyond the human concept of loving only those who love us. Pushing thought higher to “look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen” II Cor. 4:18, then we can bless those that curse us, do unto others, and judge not without falling into the trap of hollow convictions. As my CS practitioner quotes from another CS practitioner, “The shove from above is love.”

51. Cici from Los Angeles says:

Muchas gracias, Lorenzo. With bundles of love and gratitude for your reminder to simply just love, love, love our neighbor as ourself (Love is reflected in love). Love those who needed it the most. I feel so blessed with that loving and profound message.
Si Yu’us Maase. (Thank you God in Guamanian).

52. AMELIA from Cape Cod – MA – USA says:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
WITH NO IF NOR BUT… JUST LOVE!!!!!

53. Peggy A. says:

Thank you so much for this uplifting thought today and to have a Love filled day!
I will share this with a friend who needs a lift, like so many do, including me.

54. Dagmar, Hamburg says:

What a wonderful message: LOVE loves without if or but – then it’s not difficult to love the same way, too.

55. Kaye says:

I was just reading the Taking Offense article written by Mary Baker Eddy and published in Miscellaneous Writings last evening. Your comments just added to the reminder that God/Love really is All. Thank you very much.

56. Cristina from Pa. says:

Thank you Lorenzo for help me to have the large picture in mind and be impartial, universal and loving toward everyone.
Love promotes our spiritual understanding and with this understanding we grow to include the universe in our prayers.

57. Phyllis says:

Thank you for this important reminder.

58. Nathaniel says:

Perfect. Thank you.

59. Paul Marthaler says:

Yes, and thank you Lorenzo! I must love those most who disagree or hate me. I have much to learn, and more to love.

60. Tenney says:

This also reminds me of the answer MBE gave when asked how to heal? “Love, love, love, be love, be nothing but love.”
Also from Mis 138:15 “Remember that the first and last lesson of Christian Science is love, perfect love, and love made perfect through the cross.

61. Charli says:

Lorenzo, thank you! It is always great to hear from you. And this is such an important message. It is easy to love those that we like, but the challenge is to truly love those that disagree with us or for some reason or other we see as not likeable. That is the struggle and the test of truly being a real Christian Scientists. Thanks for reminding us of the need to love more and include everyone in that Love which blesses us and all!

63. Anne says:

I recall a time when, at work, I brought flowers to someone who liked to scold everyone. I said, “You just want us to do things right!” All was much appreciated.

64. Calvin says:

Thank you Lorenzo for sharing your “right ideas” with us, and thanks to all of the commentors for enlarging on those ideas. Christ Jesus is quoted a saying – I and my Father are one.” Well since each and every; one of us has The Christ in us we too can acknowledge that we and the Father are one. And our supposed enemies can make the same claim that they and the Father are one because they too have the Christ in them. So if we are one winh the Father and they are one with the same Father then we must be one with them, our supposed enemies. Through this oneness we truly must and DO love, love, love – Love God, Love ourselves as Perfect Phinciple’s perfect idea, and love our neighbors (or enemies) as ourselves.

65. di-vanc says:

Love one another…Love Love Love….

Love is forgiving, compassionate, tolerant, respectful, gentle…
Beholding the child of God in each….face to face….

Thank you so much for this Lift! Yes, Lifting my thoughts to joy…

66. Leah says:

Love our neighbors and our enemies… God’s Love can see us through anything and Love does heal! Thank you for this beautiful and powerful message!

67. John in Chico says:

Thank you so much! It’s a message that everyone in the world should hear.

68. carolyn says:

thank you very much for this very important command

69. Laura from Colorado says:

Muchas gracias. My mother always said that we don’t have to like a person, BUT we do have to LOVE them!!!!!!! Believe me, it is a challenging daily task, BUT well worth the effort!

Abrazos…

71. Olivia says:

The spirit of humble love I heard in your message, Lorenzo, and the humble replies to it, makes me feel that God, Love, wouldn’t make loving hard for us. He makes it EASY and EFFORTLESS to love as He does and is. Just think: we need only ask divine Love for a bunch of bananas to fall at our feet. How sweet and simple is that! :-)

72. Pat says:

Yes. But what does one do about unacceptable behaviour?

73. Lisa L. from Boston says:

Thank you for this thoughtful reminder, it is much appreciated. Am catching up on this week’s Daily Lifts, and what a wonderful one to start with,
All the best,
Lisa

74. Annie in FL says:

Thank you so much, Lorenzo. Pat, #72, I understand. I am learning that to love more purely and faithfully doesn’t mean acceptance of evil. It does not necessarily include “buddying” around with the individual you are praying to love. The pure desire to love is powerful because it is of God. It has to have effect. We love (see the man of God’s creating) and leave the results to God.

75. Victoria from Melb, Florida says:

Thank you so very much for the loving thoughts! This is just what I needed to move me in the right direction for a situation I have been praying about for some time now. It was just so simply said. The part that helped me the most is that “those who seem the hardest to love, actually need our love the most” – this was such a wake up call to not ignore the call for love but embrase it!

Much love to you Lorenzo! and Thank you again!

76. Candy from California says:

Lovely and oh so true!!!

77. Lindsay says:

Even though it seems that each day you can be challenged by the same individual, -it is another countless opportunity to sincerely shine & radiate Love’s love. I have encountered the same feelings of bitterness and mistrust towards someone- just ‘masked’ as different situations every week. These moments are time for us all to INCLUDE this person in our ‘grander view’ of brotherhood, not to encourage the behavior, but to seen the innate purity & goodness in every ‘family member’. Stay elevated in thought. Be the blessing. Remember why we call “The Comforter” the comforter.

Thank you Lorenzo.
