Thank you Tim what a wonderful thought from that Bible verse. We are all fashioned with intricate fingers, that puts everything in its exact place at exact time and way. I loved the way you brought out everyone’s worth with the $5 bill. Thank you so much for expanding my thought.
Love this series and feel grateful for the time all the lecturers give to this.

What a well thought through example, – I love the idea of the dirty trampled five dollar bill never losing its value, – it might need washing but the dirt is never part of it.
It also made me think that if I was offered a hundred dollar bill, I might say, – “no thanks, I’m not worth it!!”. You made it very clear that God always sees our true worth as His creation, and our true worth in spiritual currency can never be tarnished and is at every moment without limit, invaluable.
God is giving us infinity,-let’s accept it because we’re worth it!

44. Donna from Glendale says:
Tim, thanks for your imput in the Daily LIft. Something so simple of an idea to carry with everyone all the time. Everyone is so valuable to God in the way She/He created them. We are worthy and precious in God’s eyes and we must see that in ourselves.

And now, I am loving the thought that God sees us expressing the value He designed and created. Thank you, Tim and have great day!
49. Marj from Maine says:
This Daily Lift is a great momment of inspiration for each day. Thanks so much for this “link” to God each day. I pass this link on to some one else each day. I tell them to “check it out and be blessed” !!! We are all blessed!

59. Karen says:
Thank-you for your wonderful illustration of inherent worth!
60. Paul Marthaler says:
This is a great thought Tim! Thanks again to the BOL for this daily uplift.
61. Amy says:
I like the analogy and it reminded me of something I saw years ago on the El Heraldo television program. On it, Enrique Smeke showed a piece of a paper with a number on it. Then he ripped it up and destroyed it. But the idea of the number still existed. It could never be destroyed and it’s still got tangible use. So while a destroyed dollar bill does lose its value, the spiritual idea of you and me and everyone is always intact.
62. Dennis Barry Dooley says:
The next time I get that crumped up feeling that I am in bad spaces (feeling like a crumpled up 5 dollar bill) I’ll remember this Daily Lift from you Tim Meyers that I still have worth in God’s Eyes.
Blessings
63. Judy from Santa Fe says:
This a wonderful way to look at not only ourselves, but everyone we meet during the day……….anyone feeling low about themselves or anyone that is “hurting” or angry…..offering a cold drink to the thirsty. That is our job.
64. MeSee says:
I love knowing that there is a picture of me that God sees, and know because God always sees Her creation, perfect, I am able to aspire to it. Thank you Tim.

Crumpled, torn, dirty, even already used….each one of us retains 100% of our initial value no matter what. Profound! Thank you.

“….conscious worth satisfies the hungry heart, and nothing else can.”
(MTMC 1902)
What could be more satisfying, peaceful than to know ourselves and our fellowman as He knows us?
68. June Mary says:
How wonderful and important to know that our true self-worth is without spot or wrinkle—”the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Comforting and strengthening. Thanks so much. I’ve already shared this $5 bit of currency!: True almsgiving!
69. Barbara Ann says:
Thanks, Tim, for this reminder of our inherent worth, what you say is SO true, regardless of how we may view ourselves or others! How does God see me and my fellow man? Just as you have explained!
70. Bruce Schwentker says:
Hi Tim,
Thank you very much for the insprations you gave us today. They were very helpful to us all.
71. Uncle Dave from Maui says:
Thanks Tim, for the very simple and insightful analogy. The very simplest of God’s ideas are those that remain in my thought for the longest time, i.e., “God Is Love”.
Mahalo, and Thanks again.

76. Alison says:
Thank you Tim. That’s just perfect for me today.
77. Patty in AZ says:
Wow! I really needed this thought today, (even though this was yesterday’s message)…I’ve been feeling a bit “undervalued”…and you definitely hit it right on…no one can make me feel that way if I remember that God values me…and that is the only opinion that counts! Love these “lifts” and how they meet our needs! Thank you!
78. Bob Sheridan says:
Tim, Thank you! Value and worth seem to be so very important to us these days. The value of your visit, over dinner, and lecture in Sequim, last year, was much and highly appreciated. Again, thanx, for your thot on value.
79. Sandy in Ohio says:
Greetings Tim! What a great way to start the day! I am new to Christian Science, and working on a physical healing, and this message really helped alot. Im so Thankful for the “morning lift”, and so doing You will help so many of Gods People!

83. Donna Hunter says:
Wonderful!! Really makes you think what you really are no matter what.
84. holly says:
Thank you, Tim. Such a good reminder to see ourselves the way God sees us and to value ourselves in this same way too…especially when we seem to be unemployed!
85. Bruce H. says:
Our unalterable value to God as part of His/Her indispensable expression is an idea that’s worth “reloading” regularly. Seems like “the world” is often telling us we don’t fit the mold, don’t really matter, have little to offer, are too young or too old, and so on. But as God’s self-expression—-demonstrating His/Her spiritual qualities—-each of us always embodies unlimited worth, regardless of our unique human circumstances. And I have to repeat it one more time: GREAT ANALOGY! Thanks, Tim!
86. Nancy says:
I’ve been struggling with the belief that as a more mature member of the working class, I’ve become less valuable to employers. This analogy of the five dollar bill was just perfect! I may have wrinkles but that doesn’t make me less valuable. As of this moment, I refuse to accept that concept. Thanks Tim!
87. Estela says:
Thank you so much, it is a great reminder to know that we are all valuable, regardless of where we from, what’s our job, what our color is, etc.
88. Sally Lasseter says:
WOW! What a wonderfully powerful thought which we may share with our young people who may have made a poor choice. Thank you! This will go far and will help so many to look at themselves in a very new way, as a true child of God, always .
89. Ruth says:
Thank you Evan!
90. Liz says:
Spot on Tim, thank you
91. Dave says:
“Right on the money!”, as they say.
And just as money represents worth no matter what condition it’s in, we represent God’s worth. No matter what condition we’re in, our very existence makes us recognizable as divine currency.
92. Erv says:
Thank you ever so much Tim, and #28, Dave from Celeveland, and #61, Amy, and all other correspondents. The analogies are excellent to the equation of our, man’s, spirituality and eternality. They parallel that of numbers which have always exisited in consciouness, and therefore, their individual likeness or values cannot change, be destroyed, abused, misused, tainted, forgotten, erased or out of sync with the controlling principle of mathematics which governs them; nor can any belief unlike God change man’s, our, scientific relationship to or with divine Principle.
Again, thank you all.
93. Deanna says:
Thanks Tim, for your idea of our true worth, and the $5 bill metaphor. Very helpful—as are all the Daily Lift contributions. I look forward to your lecture here in Seattle next month.
94. Lynn says:
Excellent! This really did give me a lift.
95. Nena says:
Thank you Tim for reminding me of my worth
96. Veronica/VA says:
Thanks so much that was just what I needed! I also loved #28 and #61! This is a great one to share with others.
97. Rose says:
Self-worth – something I have struggled with for years. Lots of guilt, lots of mistakes – BUT I can hopefully see more clearly now that I am a beloved child of God, no matter what.
Thank you!!!
98. Olivia says:
Wow!
As I read the above comments from those who are struggling with feelings of inadequacy, it occurred to me that “guilt trips” are like the crumples and the dirt on the $5 bill: they try like crazy to make us focus on our mortal hang-ups, and they insist on covering up the true, the good, and the lasting value of each of us.
There’s only one way I know how halt those guilt trips and feelings of valuelessness: by sticking with what the Maker of man is saying, and refusing to believe what the dirt and crumples are telling us. I think the great Minter of all knows what we’re worth better than the dirt (the Guilter) dues!
99. Olivia says:
Two corrections in #98’s last paragraph, please:
There’s only one way I know how halt to those guilt trips and feelings of valuelessness: by sticking with what the Maker of man is saying, and refusing to believe what the dirt and crumples are telling us. I think the great Minter of all knows what we’re worth better than the dirt (the Guilter) does!
100. Ann says:
Thank you Tim, those are the exact thoughts I needed to hear today.
I have enjoyed these wonderful sweet healing lifting thoughts brought
to us by the Mother church.
101. Frances Brown says:
I loved it. It seems difficult sometime to maintain a sense of our true value, and this was a great reminder that this never changes in God’s eyes. We all are truly valuable to Him.
102. Jim Wohletz says:
It is so easy to “see” myself as a separate person, struggling alone on a planet full of desperate beings, in other words, as an identity with shallow roots in cultural consensus. This is the material view of life. Or, the harder part, “seeing” the truth of my real identity as an expression of God, or Good, or Love that is the only true Substance available anywhere in the universe. This is the Spiritual Sense of life, my life, our lives together. This Substance is always here, right now and it can only be expressed here, right now. So, to me, the opportunity is to look around myself and see who is here that I can give some kindness to (including myself), and to give some comfort to, as this is Substance in action. This is the expression of Mind, and this is all we are, and it is grand. Is in not?

49. Marj from Maine says:
This Daily Lift is a great momment of inspiration for each day. Thanks so much for this “link” to God each day. I pass this link on to some one else each day. I tell them to “check it out and be blessed” !!! We are all blessed!
50. Cheryl Weese says:
Thank you.. It is so much easier to understand this way with the $5 having value no matter what it looks like. Me too. and the other persons in my life also have that value. It opened a new way of valuing others to me.
51. Anne M says:
Thats brill Tim. Thanks.
Anne M
52. Kris says:
Tim, great analogy, will be wonderful to use with Sunday School kids. I love the idea that no matter what you do to the bill, it still has value. So with us! Thank you so much for starting me on the right track this morning!

Thank you Tim!!!!
66. Spring says:
Crumpled, torn, dirty, even already used….each one of us retains 100% of our initial value no matter what. Profound! Thank you.
67. Di – Vanc. says:
“….conscious worth satisfies the hungry heart, and nothing else can.”
(MTMC 1902)
What could be more satisfying, peaceful than to know ourselves and our fellowman as He knows us?
68. June Mary says:
How wonderful and important to know that our true self-worth is without spot or wrinkle—”the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Comforting and strengthening. Thanks so much. I’ve already shared this $5 bit of currency!:
True almsgiving!
69. Barbara Ann says:
Thanks, Tim, for this reminder of our inherent worth, what you say is SO true, regardless of how we may view ourselves or others! How does God see me and my fellow man? Just as you have explained!

Thank you very much for the insprations you gave us today. They were very helpful to us all.

Thanks Tim, for the very simple and insightful analogy. The very simplest of God’s ideas are those that remain in my thought for the longest time, i.e., “God Is Love”.
Mahalo, and Thanks again.
72. Avis says: says:
Hi Tim,
What an inspiring and helpful message. Also loved your Lecture podcast that I found on this new website. Messages like this bring empowerment to the listeners, both new, not yet or continuing Christian Scientists.

Is in not?
