Q: We are having a problem with the videos on the site stopping and starting. I think it is a buffering problem.

A: If you are on a dial-up connection, you will not be able to view/listen to the video files without this buffering problem. The best way to view/listen smoothly is to do so with a high-speed connection. You also will want to be sure you have the most up-to-date version of Adobe Flash installed on your computer. Q: I’m having a problem hearing the videos. What can I do to increase the volume?

First, check your computer’s main volume on the appropriate control panel. It should be set rather high, although you don’t have to have it all the way up. Second, make sure you have a current version of Adobe’s Flash Player. Download a free version of Adobe’s Flash Player.

Submitting comments

Q: After submitting a comment on an article, my name appears in the comments box on other articles. Can other site users see my name?

A: No, this will show up only on the computer you are using. What is happening is that the ÒcookiesÓ on your computer are remembering this information. Cookies are used by computers so you do not always have to retype specific information each time you go to a website. So the cookies on your computer are remembering the name you used for your comment. If you are using a public computer or do not want this to continue to show up, you will need to delete the computerÕs cookies.

Q: Some of the text is cut off. What should I do? My window is completely expanded, and some of the text on the page is overlapping. What can I do?

A: You might need to change the font size in your browser. You can make it smaller or larger by going to the View menu and then selecting ÒText SizeÓ in your Internet browser.
