Someone in an online discussion elsewhere, ostensibly a Christian Scientist, suggested that Mrs. Eddy did not intend to prohibit consumption of "alcoholic drinks, tobacco, tea, coffee, opium". They cited S&H 406:28-30. I responded with S&H 454:1-3.
It's been a while since I've discussed this within CS circles. Is this a common perspective or is it as foreign to those here as it is to me?
