What is going on at The Mother Church?

June 30, 2010.  Today the employees received a Human Resources video newsletter sharing what is happening at The Mother Church and how they are working together to attain the common goal “to fulfill Mary Baker Eddy’s vision for her church.”

Wow! What cannot God do.

In 1987/88 when I worked for Monitor TV/Radio and tried to bring together IS/ES (yes, there were TWO different info techonology departments,which did NOT cooperate), the different libraries and databases throughout TMC, I literally got run out of town; well out of TMC employment. I did continue living in Boston with my wife, for eight more years, and I went to work for a series of large, for-profit corporations which assumed collaboration across their organizations was necessary for success.

I know one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and Mind measures time according to the good which is unfolded, but I sure hope the future at TMC holds continued flexibility, cooperation, and rapid response, and never returns to the fifedoms and glacial pace of change of the past.
