About Betty O’Neal: Betty Jean O’Neal has been a practitioner of Christian Science healing for over 30 years. She rejoices in helping others find peace and fulfillment in their lives through prayer. She lives in Lynn, Massachusetts, and is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.

First Night

Opening Our Doors

This free arts and cultural event, sponsored by Fenway Alliance, happens each fall.  The past few years, it has officially kicked off at 10:00 a.m. at the Christian Science Plaza.  Throughout the afternoon and all around the Fenway area, Fenway Alliance and 30 additional community partners host events, workshops, performances.  Here are some of the events hosted by The Mother Church.

Thanksgiving service

Every Thanksgiving day, you can join the online congregation of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, MA, USA.  You'll find a friendly greeting, music, singing, reading the Thanksgiving Proclamation of the President of the United States, a Scriptural reading, prayer, a Thanksgiving Bible Lesson from our pastor, theBible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and testimonies of gratitude appropriate for the occasion.  There is an organ prelude and postlude, plus an online church lobby which will be open for 15 minutes after the meeting.
