The easiest question to answer in the Reading Room is, “If I could only buy one Bible resource tool, what would it be?” The answer is Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.  Not only does it have easy-to-use Greek and Hebrew dictionaries, it also has a variety of useful supplements.
 
No Need to Learn Ancient Languages!
Strong’s dictionaries are easy-to-navigate, and will open up difficult passages you sometimes skip over, or give you fresh insight into your favorites.  And so you don’t struggle, like I did, to figure out why some entries are highlighted – highlighted lines indicate Bible passages where Jesus is speaking.  

The Supplements Make it a “Must-Have”!
For anyone preparing a Bible word study, Bible readings, a sermon, school paper, or Sunday School curriculum, Strong’s supplements are invaluable.  These include a comprehensive topical concordance to the Bible, along with a list of the laws in the Old Testament (OT) and Jesus’ teachings on similar topics. There is also an entire section on ancient calendars, monies, weights, and measures of length, liquids, and dry goods.  

Most useful, in my opinion, are the supplements related to Jesus’ missionary work. They include:

• A juxtaposition of the four gospels, so you can see where similar passages appear in the gospels.  New Testament (NT) passages referencing OT passages are listed too. 

• An appendix listing OT Messianic prophesies from the OT that are fulfilled in the NT, in their order of fulfillment!  

• And a listing of Jesus’ parables and miracles.

Imagine – all that for under $20!
