Instantly healed from pain and injury

I’ve known Christian Science all my life, and I’ve had Christian Science Primary class instruction.

One day last September, I leaned over to pick up a quarter that had dropped in the washing machine. Somehow I turned the wrong way, and I hurt my side. It was difficult and painful to breathe, as well as get around.

I know that in God “we live, and move, and have our being” (Acts 17:28). For a few days I couldn’t do my normal activities—like swimming, or going to church for the Wednesday evening meeting. My friend who goes to church with me called Saturday night. I told her I didn’t think I would be able to go with her on Sunday either. But she said she’d stop by to see me anyway.

Sunday morning, I got up. I still was hurting. I sat down in my recliner, and I listened to the Christian Science Sentinel Radio Edition on my radio. The program was called “A landmark experience,” and the guest told about his healing of pain and difficulty of getting around. He attended a Christian Science lecture, and he was healed. The radio program so inspired me that I got up and took a bath. Then I went to the kitchen, fixed my breakfast, and got ready for church.

When my friend came to the door, she was so surprised! I was all ready to go with her. When she’d called before, I’d been in pain, but now I was totally healed. It was no longer difficult or painful to breathe or get around. The next day, on Monday, I went bowling and dancing.
