Diagnosed diabetes healed through Christian Science

About eight years ago a medical diagnosis showed that I had diabetes. I was told that I must go on a strict diet and take medication for the rest of my life. I was frightened by this prediction, and I took medication and followed the diet for several months.
I had no faith in this routine and gave it up. From past experience with Christian Science healing, I realized that God is my help and deliverer. I decided to seek help through prayer from a Christian Science practitioner. The result was marvelous to me. I had been afraid this disease was incurable, but while the practitioner was treating me, my fears disappeared. I began to feel very hopeful. I read in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: “The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death” (Science and Health, p. 412).
The following day these words from a hymn came to me: “O dreamer, leave thy dreams for joyful waking, / O captive, rise and sing, for thou art free …” (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 412). The last three words really resonated with me, and I realized that I truly was free—whole and free. That was the great blessing I had been praying for.
There are no words to describe the deep gratitude I felt, as I knew without a doubt that I was free from sin, disease, and death. I haven’t experienced any symptoms of diabetes in the years since. I endeavor to be worthy of the blessings God has given me, and try to spread in some measure the love of Christian Science and its healing power.

- 1/23/2012I am most grateful to read of this healing. My husband is not a Christian Scientist and is doing the medical route for that diagnosis and more complications. But I am most grateful Mary Kemper was healed of that same diagnosed condition.

- 2/23/2012I will get my husband to read this healing. He was diagnosed as diabetic about 14 months ago but after reading that cinnamon was just as effective as Metformin but without the side effects he didn't buy the medication . He has been using diet and excercise with great results and is seeking permanent healing . He has had some healings through Christian Science ( doctors were amazed at the quick healing of burnt toes thought to need skin grafts). He accompanies me to lectures so he is on the right path.
