Healing

Christian Science Nurses

Christian Science nurses are people who help individuals who need some physical assistance while relying on Christian Science treatment for healing. Firmly grounded in Christian Science themselves, Christian Science nurses help create a healing atmosphere and help people live as normally as possible if they’re not fully healed immediately. The care they provide can include such things as helping people dress or bathe, preparing special meals, bandaging wounds, and helping people get around. Christian Science nurses do not administer drugs or provide any sort of physical therapy or other medical treatment.

Working with a Christian Science nurse

Christian Science nurses are available to help anyone, anywhere, relying on Christian Science for healing. You can contact one by phone, e-mail, or written letter. Like Christian Science practitioners, Christian Science nurses are professionals and charge for the treatment they provide. Each one sets individual rates, so feel free to discuss payment with any Christian Science nurse you contact.

Some Christian Science nurses work at facilities that provide care for a number of people. Rates for the care are set by the facility.

How to contact a Christian Science nurse

A list of Christian Science nurses worldwide, with contact information, is published each month in The Christian Science Journal. You can get a copy at a Christian Science Reading Room. Partial listings, primarily of Christian Science nurses speaking a language other than English, can be found in the various editions of The Herald of Christian Science. An online directory will be available on this site in the future.
